If you ask for a software, any registry cleaner utilites will do, but preferable i use tune up 2012, and for a hardware(methods) i use an external tplink antennae, it replaces the small production antennae on the wireless routers, IT boosts signals up to 100meter range.

I used tune up before but i didn't like the interface and the way it works. I didn't know there is a wireless booster in it either :P Thanks anyway i will go try out again but i prefer a software that sole purpose is to boost wireless and take up least computer resources

it depends entirely on what internet connection you are using and your settings. programs that attempt to optimize your pc actually slows it down and takes up more space on your computer. try doing an over all diagnostic on your pc. clear your history, your temporary internet files, run a disk clean, and most importantly scan to see if there are any virus on your computer. you probably haven't had a disk defrag in a long time either.

I am not sure about this but my computer is extremely fast in my opinion but its the connection that is giving me the problem. And nope you are wrong XD i always do my disk defrag using auslogics regularly and ccleaner to clean junks. In the past when i am using direct connection ( which is not wireless ), my internet seems to be much faster. After switching to wireless in my house my connection is more unstable..

hmm in order to improve your wireless connection you'll need a signal booster. Check your local electronics store for it.. they'd have it for sure but the price is kind of ...high

Thanks for the response. I have heard that this is the only physical way to boost the connection. But is there any other non-physical which is softwares that can tweak your system to strengthen the connection?

To be honest, none of the software program can boost the wireless signal. But yes, if you've reduced the transmitting power in your router's setting, then you can increase it by accessing your router's setting page. Else, there is no effective method to boost the wifi range via software. It can be only achieved via hardware upgradation. One thing you can do is either install a high dBi antenna by replacing your old antenna(if its removable). Or add a repeater/another router and set it as a repeater. In this way, the network coverage will double as you'll be having 2 routers which will be providing you the wireless service. Most of the people with big houses use this method as its very effective and quite hassle free. It all depends on the area of your home and how many floors its having. If its quite big, then adding a repeater will be viable option. If not, then a high gain antenna might do the job.

Go to speedguide.net and download TCP optimizer; it will make your internet connection as fast/best as it can be. They have alot of other good stuff on there too. Security, other things related to maximizing the speed of your internet connection.

I think you have to check if there is any IP address conflict in your system and your system model will also affect its connection. A high model will lead to faster and better connection. However, I do not know of software for wireless connection boosting.

A lot of the responses i got seems to tell me that its impossible to boost wireless connection. Perhaps i didn't post clearly enough, but what i am actually asking for is to MAXIMIZE my wireless connection potential, meaning getting the most out of what i paid for the internet. I heard that some settings may limit my connection and therefore i wish to find ways to change that setting for better connection.
