How does exercise make you feel good?

The only time I exercised last week is last Sunday which is yesterday, and I could really see the difference on how I feel. From Monday to Saturday without exercising, my body felt stiff and my moods are not so good but after exercising yesterday, it seems that my blood became alive and shedding a pound felt really good and my moods were a lot better. This difference on how I feel when I exercise only gives me more motivation to step up my exercising routine. How about you, can you share some experiences of how exercise made you feel great? Did it motivate you to exercise more?

I am in similar boats with both of you. The three of us knows the importance of exercise but doing it regularly is not that easy for us. For me, I think cutting sugar intake would help a lot because I know that sugar in our body would make us feel lazy in exercising. I used to be such a hard-worker in terms of exercise, but when I got addicted to softdrinks or soda, I am now suffering from that laziness that I never thought I would have. I would then advice anyone to not underestimate the power of sugar to make you feel dull and lazy, thereby making it hard for us to maintain a regular exercise. after having a diet of less sugar, I'm sure I would be on the right road towards a more regular exercise and towards a more healthy and fit future.

Yes Micmac, I can attest that I do feel tired easily due to drinking softdrinks often. Anyway, congratulations for having overcome that softdrinks habit and therefore losing those extra pounds. Yesterday I didn't drink softdrinks and today I plan not to drink it as well, so hopefully this is really the start of a new habit.

In fact we will feel good with doing exercise regularly. You have to be patient and do exercise everyday and see its result after a month...

I agree with what all of you have said. Knowing that having a consistent exercise routine would give great benefits for us and actually doing that exercise on a daily basis for months and months would be two different things. I am actually speaking for myself, because now I have this type of problem that it has become harder to motivate myself to continue to exercise. Anyway, all your advices helps a lot for me to at least start again with that initial step with the hope that the motivation would continue to create the habit of exercising regularly again.

In fact, if you didn't do exercise for a while, you will feel pain and a bit tired a bit when you do exercise back, but keep doing exercise in next days, that pain will be gone and you will feel good with it... I hope you can keep doing exercise regularly...

They say walking you can loose pounds but i have been walking a long time and still dont loose a pound. You are lucky when you exercise you dont feel stiff, when i exercise i still feel stiff. I also drink a lot of coffee ,coffee is good for you.

I can understand how possible it is not to lose some pounds simply by walking, but for me it's hard to imagine that you won't lose a pound when you ride a bike. My brother used to have long distance biking and I saw him lose 3 to 4 pounds in one day due to that exercise. I never saw him so fit as when he was active in biking. Anyway, I love coffee too but I drink them only occasionally because I usually have problems sleeping when I drink it.

Sitting down in the office for almost 8 hours a day doesn't do me good as far as I know. In order to tone my body, I have an indoor bicycle for a couple of years now. Normally I will have a ride twice a week, 30 minutes per time. I know the more exercise I do the better I feel, but sometimes I am just lazy or lack of motivation. Honestly, sometimes I really need my will power to get on the bike and have a go. Obviously, I feel good and fresh after the exercise and shower. LOL

Indoor bicycle or stationary bikes are good ways to shed pounds. I tried them before and it works well. I agree that laziness is one of the enemies of having regular exercise. Finding a good motivation may be one of the keys, so I would need to dig deep again and seek a motivation that would be effective for me. I also feel great after an exercise and taking a shower after that really makes you feel great!

Before, I usually do early morning jog. About 30 minutes before taking a bath. But now I stopped. You are right, having exercise really keeps you going. It also give a light feeling the whole day. Furthermore, it aids my digestion and gives me a regular bowel movement. Regarding motivation, yes it motivates me that time since I can also feel that I am really losing some excess pounds. But because of rainy season, I haven't done it now. Maybe I'll try to do some home exercise. Good day!

I hope we both are able to go back to our usual routine and once again experience that good feelings we felt before. This week, I am ready to start that habit and hopefully if I felt that good feeling today and the coming days, that they may serve as motivation to continue on as days and years pass by...

Yes I also felt one of the best ways to exercise is to play the sports the you have passion with. In victorkrish case, it would be soccer which is an excellent sports to get fit on. In my case it would be tennis, and if only I would step up my playing time again to at least twice a week that would have a good enough effect on my overall health and fitness. Just like prashu I also have that experience of lightness after exercising, and I agree with woverineclint that exercise fights diseases as well, and this could only lead to good health and when you are healthy you would naturally feel good about yourself.

Yes exercising on a daily basis or at least every other day, does increase blood flow and helps you feel better. Yes it does fight off disease. If I could tell you I have something to make you feel better I would, but i can't on this site, if you call 8882458167, that would do.

To tell you the truth better days, exercising does not always make me feel good when I am doing it. I just like the way it makes me look. The positive changes I see as far as my body is concerned, gives me confidence. This is a wonderful feeling mentally. Exercise for me is done best with music, when I turn it on a dancercize. I can do that almost anywhere.

Exercising makes me feel refreshed and the day I exercise, I feel less tired. I think regular exercising is a must for each of us in this hectic and sedentary modern day life. Lack of regular exercise can affect our body system especially stamina and digestion.

I would also say that regular exercise should be one of our priorities in life. As I say this, it is as if I'm speaking for myself and trying to convince myself to once and for all push myself to exercise more.

That very true our body will feel different when we do exercise because the blood in our body circulate better when we do. I will feel sleepy and tired all day if I dont do exercise more than ten day
