Do you have to work on your computer for long time ? Then you should have to be alert in your sitting. You should sit on your chair keeping your backbone straight. Do not sit before your computer for long time. After a gap of half an hour or one hour walk for sometime and move your body organs. If you could not make conscious you will invite pain on your back, neck and knees. You can feel pain in your fingers, hands and joints. To get rid of these problems the experts had given some advices. As we keep our backbone straight when we stand or lay on bed, similarly when we sit on chair we shall have to keep our backbone straight. By this there will not make pressure on muscles adjacent to backbone and joining ligaments of bones. If you sit by pushing your backbone on chair it will be easy to sit on straight position for long time. We can change our position for some gap of time. We should keep our eyes and the screen of the computer at the same height.

I believe I have heard quite many times about this but it's not like I ever taken it to practice. Anyway, I normally spend hours in front of the screen to do assignments, mylotting and gaming. So I guess I should start adjusting my body posture before I get myself into serious health problems. Anyway, I would like to add another tip about what one should do in front of the computer. Remember to hold your mouse with your hand straight out ninety degrees. Or you may hurt your wrist which can cost you a surgery like my aunt did.

Thanks for posting this, I learned a lot from it. I don't really have a good posture, that's why even when just sitting, I'm usually slouching. Although I'm aware that I usually get muscle aches at my back, I didn't know that it was because my Spinal column was not relaxed. ^^; Thank you so much for this!

Well, my work requires me to sit in front of a computer for 8 hours. thats the minimum so i am aware of these exercises but at times tend to forget to do it :-) . My bad, but yes what you said is very true sitting in an bad posture invites pain in lot of places in addition to backbone.

Good points. I need to get into the habit of taking breaks and walking around more. I definitely used to experience these pains a lot more often before because I was on the computer for longer periods of time. Thanks for the reminder.
