Absent Minded or Easily Distracted. At times I too become absent minded.........

We all had been disciplined for not paying attention at one time or another. Some of us might be more than others. I feel while in certain thoughts mind becomes a sort of a mental workspace that allows you to juggle multiple thoughts simultaneously. Many of academicians have ventured into this previously unexplored territory, trying to figure out why our minds wander while were supposed to be paying attention. To be concentrated and have clear thoughts at times is much difficult especially during a depressed mind. May be we need some rest for our brain or thoughts…..Hope you are not distracted now…..

I can also experience this at times. Most especially when we are having lectures at class. For the first hour or half the hour, my brain is still active. I am eager to listen. But after that, my mind goes everywhere I could imagine. Being easily distracted may indicate that you are bothered of something that's why you can't let your mind think of that. Being depressed can also lead you to this. I hope you'll be able to recover now. And I agree, we really have to get enough sleep to have our work easily done.

Yes, you're right. I am doing this every time I feel it doing so. This would usually make me relax on my work for the next hours or days.

There are times that i am distracted too. Like when i am at church, my mind wanders to what i will be buying after the mass when we go to the supermarket. Though, i would always wake up from it and be attentive again to the mass.

It is but natural that all of us become absent minded at some point of time in our life. It is a phenomenon concerned with the human mind getting wavered and fail to gather proper attention on things and events. This kind of forgetfulness could end up in great difficulties. However getting absent minded is beyond one's control.

I think we all tend to wander sometimes. I have taken this class to help get pass this "filter" you mention. We call it a filter because it gets in the way of passing info. It may be nothing more than a room that is too cold that distracts us. There is also a time limit put on info. I read that after a certain amount of time that everyone starts to wander a bit.

Absent minded. I have already experienced that during my ultimate depression. My depression is all about my ex boyfriend, but now, I am doing fine.
