The Snake in the Grass, the Shark in the Sea...

When I was the child and I saw the movies with the snakes or the sharks, when I went to walk in the grass with the bare feet, if I stepped on the pebble or the other things like the twig or the sharp things, I was convinced the snake had got me! The same is true when I was in the waters and the stepping on the shell or the stone, it was sharp on my feet and I was terrified!! Surely this was the shark getting me!! Did you have scary times like this when you were the child when you thought something was getting you, but really it was no thing like that?

I think that this is pretty common among childs, because our imagination is so vivid at that time, and we can not tell truth from fantasy still that easily, pretty much like listening a politician spech nowadays. :). In my case, I was always frightened about vampire movies, I remember spending night without sleep because I watched one of this movies.

Hello albto_568! I love your comment about fantasy and a politician's speech! Excellent!! I used to worry about the vampires, too, and even more, the werewolves. My father had a vivid imagination and when we asked him to tell us a story, it often included these characters. Thanks for stopping by! :)

I remember an episode of McGuyver, or however you spell it, and it was an episode where ants pretty much overtake a piece of land and they ended up swarming several people and killing them. I constantly thought something was crawling on me and would hurriedly raise my shirt if I felt something tickling my side. Or I'd swipe my arm if I thought something was there. And it was all my imagination. I really wish I'd never watched that episode.

That certainly sounds like a creepy episode, AmbiePam! I don't blame you for reacting the way that you did. Creepazoid!

Oh yeah, that happen to me a lot. That sharp image remain in my head, and I always thought something really gonna get me at the moment. I always been so paranoia, and I was afraid to do something. Should we be brave, or keep it cautious?

Children are more capital indeed :) But imagine now, when I was an adult, I still feel afraid when going in darkness and alone. I felt cold all over and feel like someone is following you. awful that feeling :)

Yes, tkonlinevn, it is an awful feeling. I think that many people, child and adult alike, suffer in the same way.

Every time I'm in the dark it's like the monster has eaten me. That's what i always thought when i was a kid. And i don't stay awake beyond midnight, the moment i do the nightmare starts.

Ah, yes, this is another good one, toniganzon. The dark has its own horrors in a child's imagination. It was only after I became an adult with many responsibilities that I started to welcome the dark and fear what I would see in the day!
