Rocket jumping

Hey all, i know how to rocket jumping, but i don't know why my rocket jumping is much shorter than any body i see in the server, can any body help me how to improve my rocket jumping.

Make sure you are jumping at the same time you are firing the rocket at the ground. Also I really recommend using the boots in your secondary slot as it greatly reduces the damage you take. Rocket jumping takes a lot of practice but you can do so much with it. I even rocket jump out of the water in 2 fort haha and you can even jump at angles and such too and blast yourself across the map to save yourself walking time. Good luck :)

I forgot to add that in TFC if you crouch, hit jump and then blast the ground with the rocket you go even higher than just a jump and rocket blast. I'm not sure if that is in TF2 but I believe so, not 100% on it though.

wow, you can rocket jumping with that high, cool, i will try to do it, by the way thanks for the in formation, i really aprciate it.
