I have your doctor requested for a pap smear test and what other test have been done about from urine test? If he haven't, I suggest you to request for one. There are more other test that can be done but pap smear is most commonly test used after urine analysis.

Pap smear can also be used to confirm a diagnois of candidiasis or other cervical infections that may be hard to notice. It is usually a recommended normal routine test for every woman and does not necessarily means that your wife is having cancer. The reason why I suggested this is because you said you wife has been given antibiotics. I am trying to rule out UTI since it would have gone away with the use of antibiotics. Other reason reason that can cause such discomfort would be STIs.

There are lots of symptoms of burning sensation while passing urine. The following are a few not to mentioned all. A bladder infection will cause stinging or burning when you urinate. The pain comes from the urethra area, and it can be very intense and uncomfortable. It usually increases at the end of your urination stream, and it can linger for a few seconds after you have completed urinating. Acidity can be another reason of it too,an acidic urine can make the feeling of burning and pain during urination. Advise her to increase her water intake to ease a bit of her pain. Your doctor will know exactly what the cause of it and give you a proper medication. No one knows better than your health specialist. Hope she will be alright soon! Have a nice day!

she used to takes water a lot. but then also the pain will not decrease. we consult a doctor last week. he said to do usg. but some of our neighbours says that its bcause of some internal tumor growth. but primary USG was normal. but have to do it again next week.

Dear Soo... I dont think that the reason was Candidas because that is very external. Did the doctors consider her having kidney stone?

Wow... it almost sounds like your poor wife is suffering from a very persistent yeast infection. If that's the case, the antibiotics haven't done anything but make it worse. Like others have suggested, cranberry juice and cranberry pills can help. The substances in cranberries can help keep bacteria from clinging to the body's mucous membranes. Otherwise, there are creams and suppositories available that contain ingredients like miconazole, tioconazole, butoconazole, or clotrimazole.

I'm not so sure clarification is necessary. Burning urination tends to be a urethral thing... I'm leaning toward yeast infection based on the symptoms I've experienced the few times I've had one and on the presence of the candida. A yeast overgrowth could definitely be causing his poor wife's problems... but if it is such a simple and easily cured problem, I can't believe multiple medical professionals have completely misdiagnosed it and let the problem go on for a year.

When I had yeast infections there was also burning with urination. The creams were only a temporary fix for me. What cured me was eliminating candida by getting rid of yeast in my diet.
