Personally I'm not a fan of Marian Rivera nor a hater but it seems that every column that I read in any online showbiz sites for local artists there's a lot of negative comments about her even if she's not in the said topic.
I don't get it why people keep on bashing her with her looks or acting ability and even her endorsements are mentioned that she's getting a lot less than her rival which is Angel Locsin.
To be honest I don't see why anyone would post demeaning comments about her in unrelated topics. I think people should stay cool especially if you are a fan of someone.
No need to mention an artist not related to the topic since you are only taking up space and the admin will have to delete your comments.

If you area maintream actor/actress/singer the first thing you need to expect is to have haters. Basically Fans of ABS-CBN are bashing the stars of GMA and Fans of GMA are bashing the stars of ABS-CBN. so yeah it has something to do with network wars, stupid as it may sound there are fans out there, whom I call fantards (Fantard is a fan who acts like a retard due to their obsession) who takes their loyalty to their favorite TV network to the next level.

I'm not loyal to anyone but boy, do I hate MR and her "acting"!
I also hate some other "stars" that for me should not shine but they do because of the light behind their backs...but anyways, retards be retards but I guess the most retard of all are those people putting those who should not be actors/actresses under the category of artists. It's a disrespect to those great artists who really has the gift of acting.

she is not meant to play the role of a classy lady, a humble maiden and fragile lady because her voice, is kinda tomboyish, she sounds like a towns bully in Tondo when she is supposed to play the role of a lady like princess. Then she is not meant to play rich girl role too cos her Tondo accent....

Like Ann Curtis playing the role of a Sampaguita Vendor or Kristine Hermosa playing the role of a maid.
Marian is Mestisa but she is not meant to play the role of a humble maiden or a classy rich girl.
Alessandra de Rossi is one of the best actresses now but she doesn't get lead roles, she is either support or villain despite of the international awards, in 5 years I can see her talent to be wasted for mother roles know our country's showbiz system.

I feel bad for her, although I'm not her fan. People can do unimaginable things if they're obsessed with someone or something. You can't judge a person just because she's a rival of your "idol".

Let's just say she's a magnet of all those no-do-gooders fans from the very beginning since she took a protagonist act under a certain show, followed up by the break-up of a certain couple only to end up with the guy and so much more...Let's just say that it was to be expected. She must not have considered the consequences to both her life and all sorts of fans out there before doing her actions. Yes, indeed, poor Marian. I just hope she does not self pity because by then I would really hate her personality instead of just her acting/rise to stardom.

Well, she should after all deal with all the mishaps she did in the past. I'm sorry, I'm not a showbiz savvy person, and I just learned all this stuff about her from you.

Not a Marian Rivera hater here but I would like to share my opinion. Every celebrity has their own flaws and it's natural for them to gain haters. Probably those people are envious or jealous or just annoyed with the celebrities they hate. We can't do anything about these stuff. I just keep in mind that we ordinary people cannot please everyone with our attitude or for what we are and celebrities can't please everyone either.

I am no Marian Rivera fan but she has her own way in terms of acting. I don't like her either but it doesnt mean I need to judge her in her capabilities and skills. She is just working to earn a living and if people are hating her maybe because she has done something that hurt others. But for me as long as she didnt do anything then I think she can sleep well every night.

You could say that I am a Marian Rivera silent hater. Silent because I do not voice out my complaints unless if I know that my complaints will be lost in the wind. But since you've already started your discussion about this, I'll put my criticism here plain and simple.
Marian Rivera is not an artist because she isn't. Her acting isn't moving or great(just like many other Filipino "actors"--I mean, why are they called actors when they can't even move those muscles on their faces?! Is that even called acting or "poker facing"?) As for what I've observed with Marian, no matter how much she put her emotions into her acting, her acting is empty. It does not move hearts and it makes me seem indifferent to her movies, instead. Maybe other's would--but those who knew better about people who lies, *shrug*. I've seen simple people(not actors/artists) that could make me cry the whole night but not her acting.
Let's just not go to her singing. Because frankly, I've seen normal people do better than her...even her dancing. I'm not comparing or anything, just stating the obvious. I don't understand why she would rise to stardom. I guess because it means that the Philippine showbiz industry is degrading for each passing generation.
