A new version, starring . It was a nice one, the first version i have seen, i saw a play though and read the synopsis.. it was okay, a bit dull at times but i really loved watching the actors interact with each other.. wish they could have shown a bit after the end, the wedding or something. I am not so sure if i should heck out the other versions though..

oh, jane eyre is one of my favorite novels lady1993, although it seems difficult to capture in a movie...i haven't seen the version of which you speak, but i would definitely like to...i saw a bbc/pbs version about five years ago which i thought was wonderful and more like the plot of the movie of any other i have seen...i saw a really old one from the thirties or forties with sir laurence olivier as mr. rochester that was a travesty! he was just such a disaster as mr. rochester that it ruined the entire movie! thanks for bringing this discussion up, i would really like to see this movie!

You mean the latest version of 2011 with Mia Wasikowska?I do like Michael Fassbender as Rochester, but I simply hate Wasikowska as Jane and I can't do anything about it.it seems the actress has never loved anyone in her life.My favorite version is with Charlotte Gainsbourg made in 1996.In this version Jane is strong and fragile at the same time, loving, nice and I don't care if it's close to book or not.And I firmly believe that the latest version is overrated.

I can't really tell. But Mia's performance was okay for me, innocent but also cute.. I haven't seen any other version and have not even read the boo so i didn't now what to expect of her.. I guess i'll check out the version you mentioned.. is it the one with toby stephens as Rochester?

No, it was played by William Hurt. He's less attractive than Stephens.Maybe the least attractive Rochester from the versions I know, but I enjoyed their acting.

My grandchildren installed Torrent in my laptop. It´s just a matter of time that this dumb lady learns how to use it.
