Going back every week

I stay in the hostel. Every Friday after class I'm forced to go back to my own house. It takes up a lot of my time as well and I have tons of work. Each time I said I didn't want to go back I got scolded by my family. I have food cooked for me at home instead of going out to eat (but I can always do online takeaways). I'm not complaining about that it's just the journey of going back to house then come back again on Sunday night really take up my time. So... I should be grateful.. :P Everyday I have to rush my assignments..

Your parents should be able you can't visit..... did you tell them that it was obstructing your work? No sleep is very bad. And rushing your assignments is also bad. Cant you convince them to let you visit like once a month?

Is a hostel like a dormitory? I don't blame you for not wanting to go home sometimes. It's often just more convenient to stay in one place! At least you save money on food and whatnot at home though and you get home cooked meals. Your family just loves you and wants to spend time with you, so take their scolding as blessings in disguise!

Well I can say goodbye to my sleeping time I guess. :P No, my hostel isn't like a dormitory. It's actually a house which my mum rented a room in it. I shared the house with a senior and a few working ladies.

When I have seen the same with my friends in my college. But they all are very much interested in going to their native land at the week end, even though they have exams on coming days. They can not live here in the hostel for a long time with out seeing their parents. But some others are not interested in going home and, they enjoy their holidays with friends .

Well, I've been a student for 2years now, and I am in med school so a lot of work to do at home, and I take up to 1hour to get to the university, and 1hour to get back, using the train, it is incredibly annoying but I learnt to live with it.
