So I got my drugstore.com order of Evening Primrose Oil and FertiliTea.
I read about each ingredient in the fertilitea before purchasing, and read reviews before and after purchasing. It does have one herb in it I'm not sure of as I took the herb alone and all it seemed to do was make my periods much heavier. Vitex or ChasteBerry Tree is what I refer to.
In any case I had my first cup and while it wasn't the best tasting stuff it wasn't the worst either. I noticed that I'm bleeding just a bit more in only say an hour after drinking it, I also took the Evening Primrose Oil.
I am hoping that these two items combined will help me regulate my cycle as my cycles are all out of whack. Drinking just the raspberry tea seems to keep them regular, but I want them to be regular and all of my reproductive organs working soundly.
I don't have a doctor to go to nor do I think I would honestly trust the doctor, I'd rather go to a herbalist or naturalist.
In any case, I plan to exercise more as well and am listening to calming music as I type this to work on that part of everything.
The tea and Evening Primrose oil will last me about a month each, give or take, and so after the month is over we will see.
The reviews are all positive, but very few mention heavy periods going from heavy to light. If it gets heavier withoug any cessation I'll stop the tea immediately and go back to what I was doing and try something else instead.
I'm just not sure what I am lacking, estrogen or progesterone. I think it's progesterone. That's what the evening primrose oil is for.
Anyone ever use this tea? Can you give any suggestions?

About 15 years ago I got an ovarian cyst and started spotting between my period.
Now, I was ALWAYS kind of strange on the timing of my periods - I suspect that if I had become pregnant, there was a pretty good probability that I would have twins, fraternal twins at that... Because, it seems, that I would ovulate twice between cycles and I generally had a period about every 36-40 days. As I got older it was closer to 30.
They gave me an estrogen shot to stop the spotting and then a progesterone one - when it turned out all their pills had corn starch in them - good thing I practiced a type of birth control that didn't need pills - huh?
I haven't had much luck with herbal stuff myself, but then again, unlike most women who cycle together after a while, I could totally mess up other women's cycles!

I want to comment on the last sentence you made first. My sister and I, though living apart and though she's had two kids and her tubes tied, still bleeds at about the same time of the month as myself. My sister, mother and I would sit on the floor eating M&M's (mom and sis the peanut ones, myself the peanut butter ones) because we were all on our monthly at the same time.
Which made the pad's in the house, a sort of shortage all the time.
I've had some strange periods, of which I talked about on here before. It's gotten better, but that's with just red raspberry tea. I've used birth control pills in the past, but stopped them almost as soon as I started. Hearing what my friends have said about their birth control choices, I just rather have none at all, even if they do say it regulates periods.
Natural is the way to go. I don't understand why their pills would have corn starch in them, which I know you are highly allergic to!
The next thing on my list of things to get is a ovulation kit, because I want to know when I do ovulate.

Mine were regular after my mid-twenties, before that it was a matter of "exercise" or actually, being bounced around, either on a horse or a bus - I rode a transit bus between San Marcos and Austin while I was going to Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University).
If I wanted to jump start my period, to make sure it showed up on time, I would call my riding teacher - who owned the stable, and ask if she cared if I took Sundown out for a short ride. I would've bet money (and I always would've won!) that it would start in 3 days...

Well that was a good thing for sure, but it's odd how it made that happen. I don't know if it was just the strenuous exercise, or soemthing to do with the posture needed and the movements when riding on a horse. Either way, that's one way to do it!

Here is some info on progesterone that might be helpful:
http://www.buzzle.com/articles/progesterone-deficiency-symptoms-of-low-progesterone.html
You can get products that help with estrogen. Soy helps with this one.
Herbalists and naturalists are great but one thing to remember is that it sometimes takes alot of the herb to get you to the same level as a chemical medication would. And that can be expensive.
If your periods are irregular there could be a medical problem that is causing it. I think I would try to get a full exam before taking alot of different herbs. Herbs are great but if you have something really wrong you could be in trouble.
