have you rode the PNR train on hours? if you do i salute ya! it is hellish everyday, for me at least. there's something wrong with the way they control the volume of passengers who should ride the train. there's always a fight among the passengers and it is literally and figuratively hellish!

hi mathejo. first off, welcome to mylot. i'm sure your stay here will be great and profitable. just ensure to follow the rules and regulations of the site so you'll maximize your stay here. for any questions or clarifications, feel free to ask the mylot admin or even the more tenured mylotters and they'll be more than willing to help out. i haven't experienced riding our PNR trains. i've only rodethe lrt 1 and mrt lines. those two can get packed especially during rush hour. even though both have air-conditioned coaches, things can get really hot and sweaty with all the people packed like sardines!!! i can only imagine how hard it is to ride in the old PNR trains. none of these are air conditioned and from what i've heard, most of the coaches are dilapidated. i understand that it is a fast and more affordable way of getting from the south such as laguna all the way to the north like manila but i cannot imagine myself riding it. lol! maybe once during a day that is not so busy so there are less people. anyway, i love riding the mrt. i've grown accustomed to it already. perhaps, the government should look at rehabilitating the PNR trains to make it more bearable riding there for our commuting public. cheers and happy mylotting!!!

Thanks for the reminder i am very much aware about mylot rules. I have question though, how do people earn here in mylot by uploading their own unique photos?

hi mathejo. for any action here in mylot, you earn from it. not sure how much each action earns. i don't even think the picture you uploaded needs to be yours. haven't tried it myself but seen other mylotters upload pics and mention to earn from it. cheers and happy mylotting!!!

I also experienced the same - passenger fighting among each other - at LRT and MRT stations even at buses and other public vehicles, not only at PNR. I think people got irritated because of the large volume of people who ride the train. But I believed that PNR has improved since I've been seeing new trains, not sure though if they are new but they aren't the old trains I used to see that passes through our place. I have a friend that rides the train everyday since it is the most convenient for her.

I have tried PNR train a couple of times when I was still kid everytime our family would go to Bicol where my mom's family lives. Yes, it is congested but I find riding the PNR train a bit exciting when I was still kid. I love it because vendors who sells different products come back and forth. I am very amazed on how they could sell coffee in that kind of train. The coffee vendor is amazing. The travel from Manila to Bicol is about 12 hours I believe but I really prefer it than riding a bus. I don't feel well everytime I ride a bus. I have tried riding PNR train just last year when my wife and I went to Divisoria to buy souvenir items and some other items for our wedding. I find the ride comfortable since the train we rode has airconditioned and much spacious than the old train I know. The other thing I liked about it is we were able to reach our destination with just fifteen pesos each and with just one ride.
