Facebook and its impact to your daily life

June 21, 2012 10:22pm CST
http://www.facebook.com/ is my life. I'm addicted to it. I spent 8 hours a day just facebooking. What should I do? Its like a drug and I can't stop it. Other than that, I also enjoy flickr. What better ways to divert my attention?

Ohhh my God 8 hours on facebook danger. I hate facebook because I know most the persons are fake and it is only time pass. If we start chatting then we not think about time. I open facebook only once in a week. You should change your habit because from facebook you cant gain anything but if you are using facebook for business or earning money then that is good spend time here.

im a huge fan of facebook since it is one of the places where i found my referrer here. it's also the best avenue where we can suggest mylot to friends. i also have online works that involves liking pages as well as following people on twitter. so these are just among the reasons why i need to log in to facebook on a daily basis.

Facebook is just a waste of time. I can live without it. Well, that's only my personal opinion.

Honestly speaking, Facebook doesn't really affect my life much. We must know that we should be the one who control what we use, the technology. We should not be used by what we human created which include Facebook. My friend, try to be a clever user and use it wisely. Only use it when there is a need. Spend your precious time on something useful.

I am not really huge fans a Facebook before my gardener friend make a group in Facebook because our old forum went down for month. I usually just check on my group or seen if any of my friend had a birthday that's day. So you can said I rarely update my Facebook status because I only update on a thing I see important, and not every minute updater

Hi friend, welcome to mylot. I am not a fb addict and spend some time there to check my friends activities and promote my articles. Make a lot of friends here and concentrate in mylot, you will gain knowledge as well as make money in your free time. All the best for your mylot journey

To divert your attention you should turn off your computer and go out and meet with your friends. There should be balance in your life, it should not revolve around facebook.

hi april123! i also like facebook, i don't know if i am addicted to it, but if i am i think there are worse things to be addicted to! it is important to me and mr. psychoartist because we can use it to see and communicate with our friends and family who live far away...also as an artist i belong to artist facebook groups and have met many other artists from all over the world and get to see their work and be inspired by them and i can have an art page of my own, which is fun, like my own on-line gallery to feature other artist's work and introduce my paintings...it is interesting that i can hardly remember before facebook it has become such a part of everyday life and language...

I only spend a few minutes here and there on it, 8 hours a day is a little too excessive. I spend time on my art sites like Deviantart and Redbubble and Shadowness. Now I'm spending a bit of time on here answering some questions :D

Ya. Same as me. I checked my friends' updates time to time through facebook. It is only a media for us to keep updated about the happenings. So not to say addicted to facebook or not.

I, as well as you, spend quite often on facebook a day, to the point where it bothers others around me because I'm always on the computer. However, i have tried to divert my attention other ways, such as, watching a whole entire tv series on netflix, doing chores around the house, hanging out with friends, or even online games. I find it extremely helpful to divert my attention off of facebook, so i don't become addicted to it. I would also try tumblr, or instagram.

You only have a few options here. Leave the internet alone for a while and do things in the real world, or find more distractions on the internet. It is truly up to you what you do. I find sites like this slightly more productive than facebook because you get money (in very small ammounts) to exchange information and gain knowledge from others. It is also very entertaining to see what the world thinks about things and stuff.
