When you add the correct tags, relevant to the topic, they will help your topic be seen by others because it will appear, when others open a topic with the same tags, in the "similar topics" column over there -- The discussions in that column will all have the same tags as yours and users might respond/comment on them. If one of them is yours and it receives new activity, youwill have a chance to earn by going and commenting. tags also help your dito appear in searches both here and outside mylot. it is important to use relevant tags. Admin will delete nonsensical and irrelevant tags. There werre no tags here when I reponded and not other discussions on the right. Look howmany there are now and you should realise by yourself, the importance of tagging.

Anytime there is a place to place a tag... It is only better to use it. It is there to ensure better visability on mylot and in search engines. It is never a bad thing. Only time it is bad is when you use irrelevant tags. Its kind of like spamming. You are leading people under false tags.

It can help but you don't have to do it if you don't want to.
