i have heard on the news a few times where they are telling parents about the danger of leaving their kids on cars by themselves. we are reaching almost record highs all week. i saw something of facebook about it and within a few minutes it was already 123 degrees inside the car. so why would people turn off the car and leave their kids in them? i will be the first to admit that i have left my kids in the car to run in to a gas station to get a drink or to get cigarrettes or something like that but i never turn my car off and i am able to see them the whole time. if the line is taking to long i then decide to leave. i will not park at a pump and then go in they are to far from me. i know that you shouldnt leave them in there at any point in time because you never know what could happen but its easier sometimes but to leave them in the heat like that is just wrong! what do you think? do you leave your kids in the car to run inside for somthing quick? what do you think of people that do that?

I think these people are idiotics. Treating their kids like they are animals. And animals shouldn't even be treated this way. I remember one story that happened afew years ago. THis lady had a new born and left it in the car and went into work. She actually forgot the baby was in the car and forgot to take it to day care. Can you believe it?! I sure couldn't.

The last I had heard on the story I told you about was that authorities were trying to decide whether to charge her or not. I would honestly rather see a fetis aborted than to have this happen to it. I can't see where someone could forget their child. A couple forgot their ten or twelve year old at a public function and went home leaving her there. People do crazy stuff like this all the time. Its just amazing.

i just dont understand how people can "forget"!!! it outrages me!! i sure hope they charges her because that is just wrong all together. i do not agree with abortion but i think that i would rather that happen also than to see a child suffer like this. i think this would be the worst torture for anyone much less a child. WHAT?? they left their kid at a public thing because they "FORGOT"??!!?? you have got to be kidding me!! i hear about it on the news all the time and it amazes me to and it makes me wounder how they could have ever became parents. the thing that gets me is there are a lot of adults who would give anything to be pregnant and have something so precious but they can not and i think they would make great parents but people who "forget" their kids can have more than 1 or how they were blessed with something like this.

no ic ant believe how someone could forget their child was in their car but that is just like i think it was last summer there was a couple and the woman always took the kid to daycare but for some reason the father had to and he forgot to take his child to daycare he went on to work and left his kid in the car. unfortunately it was to late by the time they realized the child was in the car. i think he even got jail time but i could be wrong. i cant stand when people do this kind of thing. i would NEVER EVER forget about my kid being with me. if it was rare that i had them i would be so happy i got to spend the morning with them before school or daycare so i wouldnt forget about them!

If you leave kids in the car without aircon even for a minute is bad for them. Suffcation can be the result. In my case, I did not leave anyone inside the car even for a minute without aircon.

i have heard of people doing this with pets as well. here were i live we just suffered through an almost unbearable heat wave and well, the inside of a vehicle can heat up so fast, yet you always hear stories about people doing this.

I don't have kids to leave in the car yet, but I also wouldn't leave them in the car if I had them. I don't believe that it's safe. Now I would do as you and pull up to a parking spot at the front, leave the windows down or pipe the air on full blast. I wouldn't take long at all. Not only is it unsafe for humans, but also dogs. I've seen where people are being warned to make sure they keep their dogs safe and not in the car in hot weather!

that is a very good point i had forgotten about. i see people all the time that have their pets in the car while they go eat lunch, or go shopping, or loko around a store, or whatever the case may be. it is like you said tho it is just as dangerous for our pets as it is our kids. i think that for a short trip it is ok. i mean what can it harm? as long as you make sure they are safe and not sitting in a hot car with no air or anything. i have heard of people going to jail for this. i think they called it endangerment to a child.

Well yeah. When I was small I was also in that situations. As you said it it not problem if you for lets say 5 minutes to the gas/petrol station or something like that. And yeah if it is hot outside than in the car is like 2X hotter and also there is not enough air. Also if the kid is small and his parent go somewhere for one hour than this is just not normal. I don't have kids but I'm pretty sure than if I had I wouldn't let them in the car for so long...

it is sad that now a days they have to have actual ways to show people how much hotter it is inside of a car than outside of it. 5 minutes is not long and as long as they are safe ok but when you go off and do as you please while they are there to suffer that is just wrong on so many levels. last summer there was someone who said well my wife usually takes them with her so when i went to work i forgot i had my kid in the car. i was suppose to take them to daycare. needless to say by the time they realized the kid was in the car it was to late.

That just makes me so mad. I cannot beleive people would do this to there kids. I think people should be persecuted, or have there picture up on the news showing what kind of awful parents they are. So that everyone who knows them will know what they did. They wouldnt be able to hold there heads up from all of the humiliation.
