I don't know if there are any funny history books about.
I'm not much interested modern history - of course, I've been given lots of history while I was growing up here in the U.S. so when I was in college I was much more interested in the histories of other parts of the world.
Good luck looking for some funny/easy history books.

Well, I do not find many such books. I recently bought a book on General history that is written in simple English with some good sketches. though it looks more suitable for children of may be 10-12 years, my interest in history is so much that I like this kind of book.
