Does anyone else feel like the video games that are being made nowadays are much easier than they used to be? When I was playing the first Super Mario Bros. game, it took me forever to beat world 8. The games these days have checkpoints every few minutes that it doesn't really even matter if you die or not; you never have to go back too far.

I never ever finshed the first Super Mario Bros. game. Now I have many different types of video games and have finished over half of them. I think it's crazy how they are just making money off of us. They make them shorter so we have to go buy more games so we have are more entainment.

I can remember playing Kid Chameleon...man that game was impossible, even with save states and emulators it's still impossible. Then again games used to be more fun back then.

I definitely agree with you here. With the save points and easy plots of games today, it is really not as fun and challenging as it used to be.

I know, oh don't I wish they were harder. Both my boys started playing the X-box at four. There are many adults who would be shocked to learn they were and are playing a four year old ha ha. I could never get past those dang things that turn around and around in a circle, never made it past that myself. Oh wait I think once, then I was killed a few feet after that ha ha. Ah those were the days.

I agree with you about that, games today are easier but there are also modern games that are very challenging, like ninja gaiden on xbox 360 and ps3. A lot of games today have alot of save points and checkpoints. Its like you can save every 5 minues or so.
