Have you ever played cupid to someone close to you, finding him/her a partner and when they got together, the relationship was a success? How did it happen? I am trying to find a partner at some dating sites for my (widowed) mom, for a long term relationship and if possible, marriage. So far no one's interested yet so I guess I'll wait for a some time until someone says hello before I close those accounts for her.

When I was younger I set up a couple of my friends but the truth is I felt terrible if it didn't work out for them. I also felt like they held blame at me for it not working out. They never said so but it might have just been me feeling guilty about it. I guess I wasn't very good at setting people up. Now that I think about it though..I didn't do it unless they asked me if I knew someone..lol.

Hi rosesthorns14, I haven't tried it but I've heard to some of my friends there are lots of dating sites which ended up on a successful marriage. Maybe you just need more time to wait and hoping you could finally get one for your mom. A blessed day...

I have a friend who has been single for as long as I have known him, and that's like 10 years now. I'm sure his straight but I just don't know how to find the right girl for him. The main problem is his attitude. As a friend I have no problem with it, I mean I have grown accustomed to it, but people who gets to meet him for the first time usually find him too straightforward and probably cold. He can be very insulting at times because of this. I have always thought of introducing him to one of my girlfriends friend but, I also always have this second thoughts. I have never played cupid in anybody's relationship yet so I am basically clueless at what to do first. Anyway, I do hope you find the right match for your mom. Good luck!

I can remember this match-making is a fun during younger days. During schooldays we have the habit of matching friends and classmates. Some of them become steady partner- but those are just for fun. I hope you can find a match for your mom soon :)
