Nostalgia is kicking in

At this very moment, it's raining outside. And when I hear the trickling sound of the raindrops from outside my window, I can't help but feel nostalgic about things that inspired me, things and people I miss, and moments that had stuck in my head for good. I remember feeling so comfortable in my bed asleep, eating some delicious soup that mom cooked, and just spending time with family. I miss those times when I had long summer vacations, and getting excited for school. I miss that feeling of getting excited for something new for the next day. In my situation right now, being in a day job that almost requires me to work for almost 10-12 hours a day, 6 days a week, things have become so monotonous that I am really bored and missing those times when things were simple yet very exciting. I don't know, but maybe, there are just some things that we are going to miss forever. How about you my fellow mylotters? Do you miss anything? Do you miss some things that you know you can never get back or experience again? Care to share?

Hi, I feel very nostalgic when I see the children going to schools, colleges. This reminds me the fun I had in my childhood. Still I meet the friends of my school times. We have get together many times. On 1st September my school time friends are coming to my house for get together. There are many other things which make me nostalgic.

I live around the university belt even after I have started working and graduated from college. And yes, seeing these young people walk around the street and listening to their rants about school stuff, makes me nostalgic too and makes me smile, thinking that these things are nothing compared to when they'd start working and living in the real world.

I think I will get back some things, like my freedom, eventually. I do not work as hard as you all the time, but the last two or three weeks have been that way, so I can identify. I have been there, and I do not want to be there again. I miss letting my creative side surface, sewing and painting, etc. I will get there again. I am sure of it.

I'm sure you'll get back to bringing out your creative side. Nice to know that you paint and sew. I can only do a few sketches but they weren't really that good. Anyway, I do work hard all the time and at times, I really feel like there's so little time to just be with nothing to do and yeah probably bring out some creativity out as well.

Dear friend, I do miss lots of things, my friends, my age, and most of those time. I feel time do put us back. But our mind rewinds it back. I feel God has given that to human. May be creator do not want to bring back those time....then we human may think of other wants....I feel nostalgic feelings arises when I see my old friends and old places I have been after a long back.

That is true. Every time I come home and visit my parents' house, the place where I grew up in, a lot of memories start to come back to me. I know we can't bring them back but at times, we really do we wish to bring them back or at least be in the same state of feeling like we did before.
