Someone was supposed to call me to tell me what my costs will be for the Laparoscopy surgery in July. I wish I had a general idea. I'm supposed to pay like 19% of the total cost. Does anyone know of the average cost of one of those kinds of surgeries is without any kind of insurance, or discount? It is for ovarian cyst removal. I'm getting so nervous about the cost, I think that is one of the things worrying me most right now.

I did some research online and the only price I could come up with was a basic $3000. I think it will be alittle more and what does that come out to if you have to pay 19%? About $600? Ugh! I guess it could be alot worse. A big stresser is always the money portion of anything. Do you have about $1000 in your back pocket?

I think it will be more too, but just how much more is the question. They didn't call today, I wonder why not. I figured they would have by now. I also called someone about the anesthesia on Monday too and never called back, yet. I have been lucky to still have $1000. in my possession but it depends on the true cost of it all too.

Hopefully it won't be too horribly much. We can hope atleast. I think you are probably out of surgery by now and starting along with the healing. GOod luck to you!

I had arthroscopy and by the end it cost about ten grand. I'd I have no insurance hospitals tend to work out deals and discounts...make sure to ask the financial depth. What they can do for you before the surgery.

Wow, ten grand. I don't know what I would do if I had to pay that much out of pocket right now, I'd probably have a heart attack and it would all be wasted. Did you have any discounts or such when you went in for your surgery or did you pay the full ten grand? God Bless you.
