house construction advice

hi guys. i need some idea,knowledge and help. I basically no idea on house construction, I am skeptical about getting a contractor because he might end up fooling me for expenses,materials among other.My questions are, can someone here with knowledge estimate me the quantity of each material to be used. The space is only 25 square meter, not sure how to convert it to square foot. what are the materials and quantity that I might consume constructing the small space. Thank u very much.
