Mylotters, we are about three week away from the start of the Olympics 2012, held in London. However, are you ready to watch it and celebrate the games? How are you going to see these games? Will you be there in person, or will you watch it on TV? What is your favorite game/sport in this Olympics?

I usually watch the Olympics games. I find them very interesting to watch. My favorite game is Judo and sweeming, and of course the light athletics games. Unfortunally, I won't be able to watch The Olympics games this year, since I spend my summer vacation in a big trip.

Ooh dear! Perhaps, you may ask someone to record the Olympic Games for you, so that, at least, you will be able to see your favorite games. Anyway, enjoy your trip when it comes, ok?

I have always interested in the Olympic Games. However, this time I am not so eager to the Olympics in London. Perhaps I haven't heard more about it yet and therefore I can't sense the exciting atmosphere. It is not like the Beijing Olympics in 2008. As at that time it was held my country and we were all so excited to it. I love China

I understand what you mean Youless, I understand. For what it is worth, your country was very gracious in hosting some of my fellowmen, (then at that Olympic Games in 2008) and my countrymen and women helped to set the track and field events 'on fire'! In addition, I met some of your countrymen and women, when I studied in Japan in 1999, and they are wonderful people. Ooh, I am from Jamaica; the land where the fastest man alive originates. (Smile)

To be honest with you I hardly watch the Summer Olympics; there are a few events that I always try to watch, like the 100m dash and some of the relays, the basketball, but that is about it. Unless there is a compelling figure that will be in the Olympics to watch, like Michael Phelps 4 years ago or someone that is becoming a big star. If there are other sports that come on television that I happen to catch then I might watch a little bit of it. But mostly I love the international basketball; I love watching the United States team and the other teams from across the world competing for the gold in that sport. However, I would love to go see the Olympics in person; it is one of those sporting events that would be great to see once, along with the World Cup, the Super Bowl, etc. I think I would be much more interested if I were a spectator in person.

Hi Thrwbckjay67. I like your honesty in this regard. I am an avid sportsman, and I enjoy watching the Olympic games (or any other sporting event) on TV. Indeed, I have my special interests, personalities, and sports/games that I try not to miss viewing; as it gives me greatest pleasure to see these altletes performing at their best. Just like you, I would also like to enjoy the personal experiences of being present at any of the major events you mentioned in your comments- in person- and I am working towards achieving my objectives. Thanks for your participation, and best wishes.
