Yahoo Voices pays based on how much you get viewed. They also have the option to get an upfront payment as well, but it has to be something they approve. I have a couple things up on there, but haven't had many views, so not much money.

Have you tried iwriter.com? My husband makes money every week writing articles for them. First of all you have to write some 20 good articles, which you get paid for but not very much. Then you are graded to see how high your level of English is. If you write good English you can earn some good money writing for iwriter. The top rates of pay are about $10 for 700 words, which is pretty ok.

Where did you hear that ExpertsColumn had turned scam? It's a legitimate paying website. I'd been paid by the website several times already and I've already reached another payout and may request for it soon. It's a good site to earn for page views. If you're a good writer with lots of articles, you can earn at least $1.50 per 1000 views which I think is the highest among all page views earnings website. But on the average, writers at ExpertsColumn earn between 50 cents to $1 per 1000 views.

Knoji is another site which pays per view on articles you write for them. You also get a bonus payment for each article you publish once it is accepted. Depending on the category of the article, and how good you are at SEO, you can actually earn a lot of money from your articles just from the views alone, and they offer a "Buzz It Up" service where you can publicise your articles across social networks to help you get even more views.
