A sari-sari store is one which sells goods at retail. It is so called because almost all basic needs though in small quantity are present in the store. It is this kind of store where one can buy even a stick of cigar or a spray of milk. I believe in almost all nooks and crannies in the Philippines this kind of business thrive. I am referring to the rural countrysides and the "iskinitas" as well as the small tiendas or tindahans in the slums miles away from the plushy malls in cities.
For those who have gone abroad or users from other lands, would you please comment if you've this kind of business which I've presented.

They don't have sari-sari stores abroad or in this country where I work. They have small supermarkets but I dont consider it as a sari-sari store because it is too big to be one. It would be very nice if they have sari-sari stores here so I dont have to walk very far or call a taxi to go to the small supermarkets. But then it will be very strange for the residents here, I guess. :)

:D I'm looking forward that other countries would do the same as we did. :D
Hope that they will find it cute but not to the extent of our situation wherein house after house, there's a sari2 store lol.

Lol. From the title I thought you were talking about a "saree" store. Saree is a dress particularly worn by Indian women.
Here we have retail stores in every area. But they are capable of selling in large quantities, if there's a customer. But they mostly do business by selling in small quantities. But their stores are filled with good quantity of stock, and every kind and variety of stocks. Good day!
