a succession of beautiful scenery makes one feel delighted.a long stay in the same surroundings to make everything the same.routine work often makes one feel bored ,but if you take a trip or a long journey on your holidays to some scenic spots or historic sites, that will make great difference.travel can widen one's knowledge.the farther you go,the more you wil learn about different politics, economics, customs as well as geography.if you travel the whole world some day,you will fully understand the globe on which we live.

yupz, i already go out..again and again.. It makes me have much love nature than before. Have much love the animals, plants, flowers. Learning life in the nature circumtances, the people, culture, and tradition. Travelling not only refresh our mind but also remind about our origin.

When I was a child I had a globe and used to place my finger on it to imagine traveling to different destinations. In my childhood I was intrigued with traveling to France. In my teenage years I managed to travel to Greece, the Netherlands, travel around Europe by train, Tunisia in North Africa and St Lucia in the Caribbean. I loved traveling around the world for just over one year when I was twenty to twenty one years old. I have learned so very much on the journeys that I done in my lifetime so far. New Zealand taught me about how tides work and I experienced much time in the the Great Outdoors. I saw poverty in Indonesia and leaned it is important to spend money locally to help the local people and rise their economy. I love to visit historical sites where I can gain more knowledge. These days I like to go on far away complicated journeys and get so much reward with knowledge from these. I visited the waterfalls between Argentina and Brazil. It was lovely to travel overland in amazing South America. Last year I had my first trip to that very interesting continent. Wow!

Yes your right and that's my dream. For now I can't travel due to my working contract. I still have 1 year to finish it and I wanna travel after that. I just don't know where to start and how to cover the expenses. I'm planning to work to different country but it will take a long time to travel again to a different place. I just wish I have many savings to travel and have some fun.

I agree with you. I wasn't into travelling before but when me and hubby started travelling these past few years that was the time I appreciated everything that is different and new here in our country. It made me realize that there's such beauty in different places and different culture and people.

Welcome to MyLot. I agree! We should take some time to get away from the computer & live more of a balanced life. I think the purpose of travel is not so much to broaden your knowledge, but to broaden your experience. We can learn a lot about all the aspects you have mentioned online in even more detail than if we were an ordinary traveller. So it is not for the gaining of knowledge that we should travel, but rather for the experience, which is something the internet - or at least the one I have - cannot (yet?) give me. For example, I can view all the wonderful scenery of your country if you email me or post us some pictures, but I would not understand it the way you do, because I'm not "there". I cannot feel the energy, hear the sounds with any real clarity or get caught up in the atmosphere or be elevated by the happiness or friendliness of all the people, etc, etc via an internet connection. For this & more, we need the physical experience. I do disagree with your parting comment that if we were to travel the world, we will understand it. I think there is an equivalent expression commonly used to explain such a situation, which, when applied, goes something like this: "A traveller cannot anymore understand the world in which he lives by travelling it than a motorist can understand the intricate workings or a motor car by standing in a garage whilst his car is being repaired"! A more thorough understanding of anything requires first learning every aspect of it from those who have themselves mastered it & are qualified to teach & then to apply such knowledge by experiencing such situations for yourself. There is another interesting topic you started related to this one that would not let me reply, so I'll add my response here, if it is of some help. I believe you addressed the issue of wanting to go outside to get a break from the computer, but felt unmotivated to do so & asked for help? Have you tried joining or starting a group to achieve such an outcome? Often, the company of many like-minded people does make a difference. Perhaps there are clubs or groups you could join that are already doing activities that you enjoy right now. Maybe run an online search right now?

I think everybody wants to go somewhere, anywhere in the world where you can unearth the beauty of God's creation but with the difficulty of life - economic crisis, we place ourselves to prioritize things. Time, effort and worst, finances are hard to have now. Me, I want to go but having no work for now helps me decide things to stay home. I hope, one day, I can travel the world.
