China news and actions are so different

well, Mr. President what can you expect from a Communist Government, they won't act like some one's gonna back down like that.
Looks liks China's own fishing ban was another trick because right after the storm they went back again. for what's more put more claimnant on the disputed Islands. I think this was a respond for the US interference on the disputed islands.
for the tenth TIME??? the Palace calls the Chinese Ambassador and gives another NOTE VERBAL!
Unfortunately, i have a bad feeling, that NOTE will be just thrown to the trash or just put it in the filing desk/folder...
maybe things would have been better if they put up a treaty that allowed both nations to have join sovereignity of those Islands..

That's really sad that we can't protect our sovereignty because of the corrupt government and the military which never think about the future. In the time of Marcos there are many jet fighters but they junk all of those good fighter plane and buy tora-tora which is obsolete enough...
Those Chinese government is actually greedy because even their people did not react about their greediness. Because if they complain they will be die so kept their mouth shut off. They are also ignorant about the so called territory...even do that sea is called south china sea they claim it on their own. It was called south china sea because it is south of china sea do not mean that is belong to china as sea...

It's hard to believe but common sense, friend. Those chinese claim something which is near Zambales, and it's ridiculous to believe the chinese, on their claim. They called it south china sea, meaning the sea is south of china sea and no one will claim it. Because that sea is only south of china sea...

Hello aerous, to be honest i don't know what to believe anymore. at first i thought it was really belong to us but some how i don't think it will go to us if we are ever claimed to be the right successful owner of this.i feel bad for their people for being censored from the truth, i wouldn't want them to suffer but only their government

I think your idea is great about join sovereignity of the island. So they won't need to war, to claim each other, and they can become good friend. I hope china and japan can work together in daiyou island about to manage resources inside the area. Also China can settle the problem with south east asia about spratly island in south china sea area to manage together the resources with the neighbor. So the world will be no more war.

Hello Sieka, because it has happened in Africa that they made a joint claim and use of it's resources in the rivers. i think china did wanted a deal like that with the Philippines, from what I have heard, the country went arrogant and prefers to settle it in court, which china didn't want.

i think china can assert more its claim on the shoal than the philippines. china has more modern and hi-tech ships that can travel fast and stay longer on the high seas. so what the philippines can do is the diplomatic protests by filing a note verbal through the chinese ambassador. and the philippines has filed the dispute to the international court for arbitration.

Hello Mensab, They have been trying to claim since the 1930's but i think they got strong enough to push us back because their military got strong. well, at least we are not that reacting violently and make provocative statements just like the Chinese Government does. this should be settled quietly

Don't expect them to play fair. They have the muscle in this scenario. Of course, they don't want a wrong foot in the eye of the interntaional stage. I hope that the situation improves soon.

Hey there Letran,
Sad to say we can only try diplomatic means since we are a very patient and forgiving country and at the same time we don't have what it takes to go head to head with china, well anyway let's just hope that this does not turn south for our country and that maybe the UN would intervene.

Hello Deodavid, I don't want to live at the time of war just like our old people experience. we should be living in the world were difference can be settled diplomatically. am sure the people of china disagrees of what they do but they're scared of the government. though disciplined and strong willed, their agressiveness shows negative insight on other people

For me I would want a peaceful treaty than a war that we would obviously lose. China and the Philippines are just trying to protect what they believe is their property. Both sides have their on beliefs and I can't blame either side in taking action in protecting their own.
Hope to see the end of this event in a way that both sides can benefit and have better ties with each other

Hello Davaome, I think there should be a joint claim. I have watch some debates about it and it said that it should have a joint ownership since Philippines and China are very important Trade partners. not to mention we are the link between US and China. too bad we are chooosing more in the US to help us with the claim
