No racking of the brain is likely to yield result as to the origin of human beings; so is the case with our future. In the interim period between our looming large on the horizon of life and the inevitable fading away, beaten and unceremonious in most cases, we manage to remain in shackles divided by race, religion, region, language and whatnot. The Olympics are supposed to be events cementing differences and fostering friendship and cooperation among nations. Now the rooftops of houses in the vicinity of the Olympic stadium in London are being used as missile bases to ward off attack from forces inimical to the success of the games. When will we learn to live together in perpetual amity?
