Forgive me if I don't side with the upset Boston Celtic fans whining about how Ray Allen betrayed them! Wasn't this the same guy that was trade bait early in the season? Isn't he also relegated to the 2nd team over a younger two-guard? Ray Allen is no traitor. Ray did what anyone of us would have done. You're not valued or welcomed, then you look for the nearest exit. It just so happens that the nearest exit was South Beach and perhaps another ring!

I think its the best decision for Allen to transfer to Heat. He almost got traded last season and into the last minute, the trade was cancelled. I think, it really gave big impact to Allen because the management has not seen his effectiveness in Celtics and they are ready to give him up. And finally, NBA is still business, players can be traded immediately and players also have the right to choose where to play. I think that's still fair.

For me it is not work of betrayal, Ray Alen is a free agent and he is free to sign anywhere he want. Boston didn't own Ray Alen so it is not betrayal. Maybe his loyalty to team lost but he know what is good for his career and where he can show his talent productive.
