digital camera claim on warranty periods

Everybody using digital camera.If it gets fault in the warranty period the company says you can use the warranty card for any claim and make the service free.I never have the problem yet.Anybody claimed in the warranty period of the digital camera and have a story please tell that is also useful for all to know further about warranty and its use.Is they making the service really free in those warranty periods?
