Does anyone use connectify?

I am curious about this software called "connectify", what is this software about. A hotspot for other computers to get connected to the internet? I want to install it, and I just wonder what is the advantage and what is the disadvantage of this software before I really want to install it in my laptop computer? Has anyone use it before?

It is said that the software Connectify will turn a Windows laptop into a secure Wi-Fi hot spot using which one can share the Internet with his/her friends or co-workers or mobile devices. I personally have never used it.

I use it once ago before I have wifi router device. The software is great, it can transformed your laptop wifi enabled to be a wifi hotspot. The disadvantage is it only can run under win7. It didn't succeeed when I installed at winxp.

Connectify will make your laptop/pc act like a wifi router so your wifi capable devices like smartphones can use the internet. It is a great program for those that does not have wifi routers but that program is a little bit funky.

This seems kind of interesting. I haven't used this software yet. Maybe this is a good software. I'll keep an eye on this post.
