she was at the market yesterday, while walking, she felt like someone tagging along very close at her back. She felt someone trying to touch her back pocket when she touched her back pocket she realized her cellphone was not at her back! (see she has this habit of putting the phone at her back duh!) she turned around it was big burly guy, she got the courage to get hold of the guy's shirt and said where is my phone! The guy gave her her phone and ran away! She was so nervous yet she got lucky as the guy just ran. i believe the guy just gave her her phone as it was a cheap one.. lol but i told her to better be careful as good thing the guy did not punch her or something.. she really got lucky!

Yeah, she's very lucky that her phone was returned successfully without hurting her. I salute her for her braveness. I remember when I was a in college and I am working in Video City. Since I am studying, my shift is always after class so I am always the one who closes the store. One time on my way home, I felt so very tired and I am walking tomy boarding house in Quiapo. Suddenly, there’s a guy running towards me and grab my bag. While we are tugging on my bag, I take off my shoes and slapped it on his face and he ran away.

Now that was brave of you to do that, good thing the guy did not have any weapon! sometimes these people are lazy, to think they are big guys and are healthy enough to work

Thank God! your sister was brave enough to fight the guy and get the cell phone. Actually she was very lucky too that the guy did not do any harm to her. I also have experienced such a thing while i was travelling in the bus. A woman pick pocketer was trying to pick my purse but as soon as I felt it I shouted and she hurriedly got down from bus leaving my purse.

Oh my, she's really lucky. Maybe you are right also about the old brand mobile phone, but still she's so lucky that the guy did not hurt her. There's a lot of bad people roaming around so we must be careful all the time :)

Indeed we must always be careful as times like these, people would do anything to bring food on their table even if it means snatching or killing.

hi jazel It is lucky that your sister got away unharmed. These road side goons, here, normally operate as a group and so it adds to problems. I find that - the old cellphones - save sometimes

Yes it was not touch screen or those fancy ones,so i guess that was one reason the guy did not fight back.

hmm you think the snatcher returned the phone because it was cheap! There's no such thing as 'cheap' for thieves and snatchers. Maybe he was surprised at your sister's reaction! My laptop was grabbed from my hand at 4am. The thief was outside the window and with his 'picking gadget' was able to pull the laptop. He was masked.I was awakened because the charger was dropped and created noise. The thief was not alarmed. I grabbed the laptop but he wouldn't let go of it so we played some tugging for about 3minutes. He was so strong. He laughed when he succeeded. He was with another companion waiting on their motorbike. I was alone and with neighbors far from me. I know the thieves were armed so I didn't pursue. The next day, a neighbor reported having her cellphone stolen by masked guys on a motorbike.

damn your sister has got some real guts..i wouldn't dare do that..there are lots of pick pockets even in my city..that time when i was new to the city, one day at the bus stand during rush hours, one big fellow bumped into me, i looked back to say sorry, by that time another one picked my wallet from my bag. i dint know that they come in groups to do this.. Then later i heard from many people the same story.. But your sister is great.

She is indeed lucky to have her phone back and have not gotten into something worse after that brave reaction from her. I hope she learns her lesson now, not to put her phone in the back pocket especially in public areas.

Wow good thing she was so brave to confront him like that so she could get her phone back. Thankfully he didnt try to hurt her and he gave her the phone back. Sometimes phones can be really bulky and not feel comfortable to have in a front pocket. Hopefully after this she will start keeping her cell phone in her front pocket where it would be a lot harder for someone else to pick pocket.
