Road conditions Jakarta - Bali

I just returned from a trip by car from Jakarta to Bali. Go through the 'northern route', and returned through the 'southern route'. At some point there are bad roads. Always the way never get really good and comfortable to pass.

via northern?/ via surabaya or east java do you mean??

That's true. If through the northern route is: Jakarta - Semarang - Surabaya - Situbondo - Banyuwangi - Bali. If through the south, the route is: Jakarta - Bandung - Yogyakarta - Jember - Banyuwangi - Bali.

I prefer the southern route, although the distance is longer and winding and has a ramp. Road conditions in southern route better than the northern route. On the southern route only a few buses and trucks passing by. And .... most importantly, on the southern route, lots of beautiful scenery.

Yes road conditions in some cities are very bad. The authorities must be more responsible than this. It's due to lack of supervision and neglection i think.

Yes, you are right, I agree with you. People should be entitled to comfort, not only because it has to pay taxes.
