Hi parents. Children love playing. Their worlds is playing world especially for kids in 0 - 6 years old. So, we can stimulate all their potential by playing. Learning by playing. When we have time to be with them, we can use it to play. How poor those of children that must be stay in the class with table, book and pincil. Today, I invite My lttle son who 5 years old to playing science. We can introduce kids about science by make simple experiment. Although I am not scientist but we can read in book and try it. Today the topic about air pressure. We need a glass, water and paper. Here the steps: fill water in a glass untill full, cover the top of glass with paper. put your hand on the paper. Turn the glass. the position mouth of glass already under and your hand still hold the paper. Now, remove your hand from the paper and you can see that the water in the glass does nit spill and the paper can hold it. It show that there is air pressure and the pressure is big.

I strongly agree to what you've said. I am not a parent but I do understand what you are trying to tell the parents out here. I am a teacher. I used to teach children from the grade school. It would really be boring for the kids if we only ask them to stay seated and require them to just listen or repeat after us. It will not really help them learn because they are into something interactive. They would appreciate best if we do integrate playing to the teaching and learning process. Most of the kids love to role-play, they really are interested when you ask them to act out a particular character especially when there are props and costume. Anticipate how well they could play their part.

Hi. Thanks for your response. There is still school or teacher who teach by rigid way but education world has changing that mindset. Teacher should be creative to setting planning program, teaching strayegy or using methode of learning. Nice to know you here, i am teacher too. I am playing with early age kids about 2-6 years old.

Yes adhyz. Children like to playing than we ask them to sit and reading or writing. Today, Schools and teacher has change that way. But there is teacher still use the way that student did not like. you know, our brain will easy to receive some information as we relaks. So, we try to make them relaks when opening lesson with music or many kinds like ice breaking than lesson will start with spirit and happy. Anyway, thanks for responded my topic.

I totally agree with you. Kids under 7 years old should play, play and play. They learn from playing, and this makes them learn better too. I didn't purposely teach my son to recognize the alphabets, but he can recognize all of them now, because he was playing with the alphabet puzzle mat. We bought the mat for him to sit on it and play with his toys, but he liked to take out the alphabets one by one, and kept asking us what this is, what that is, and slowly he recognized them. I think it's much better than asking him to sit down there and keep writing or learning the alphabets from A to Z, it's boring and not that fun, and perhaps he will not remember so deeply. Also, I always think academic learning is not so important to the kids, the more important is other skills, such as balancing, movement, observation, etc. You can't learn this by sitting down quietly in the classroom, you need to play a lot, exercise a lot, then you will build up all these skills.

It's ok. never mind. glad to share the methode to others. you know, it is just few methode that i use. I have learned about some methode and finally it is about how fun you make the situation when you introduce new thing for kids. Beside put some posters on the wall at room that the kids easy to see and coupd to touch it, we make it like a game. We ask kids looking for same shape of alphabet. Or when we walking or go somewhere, we ask them guess about a word wich start with 'a' like apple or others words. so, just make it fun.

Hi Kaka. I like your response. Thank for share here. You know, I did the same way like your story. My little son was 4,5 years old. He recognize alphabet at 2,3 years old, start reading at 3,5 years old and reading fuently at 4 years old. I never asked him learning seriously. Since he was baby, I put some poster/picture of colour and shape, animals, fruits, number, alphabet etc. So he saw everyday, when he can speak, he ask me and I just answer without ask him to memorize it. I bought the play mat too. I provide him many books so he loves book now. But it's all one of kognition stimulate. as you told that academic is not only one standar of intelligent. Not only mathematic but we can stimulate other aspects of children growth. Morality and religion, physical motor, language and art, socialize and independetly.

Yes, I agree with you. Children need to play, be creative and socialize. Parents who forbid their children to play, will regret in the future. One of my poem: My brother Let's play Play anything Remove the burden of torture ... Happy to play

Thanks mr hsofyan that you agree with me. We should be know about what children need. It has be first principal of education for early age children. Sometimes parents and teacher ignore it. They just push their kids to be number one in cognition aspect. Although that is not only one standar to call them intelligent. They need playing, socializing and attention, love etc like what we want as human.

Hi my new friend! I do agree with you that through playing, our kids learn too and the parents as well. I am actually happy with the school I've enrolled my daughter since they don't do the traditional way of teaching like 30 minutes Math and 30 minutes in English, etc. Instead, they teach kids through playing and community singing and then that's the time they add some lessons like the alphabets, numbers and writing. I'm happy to see my daughter always so excited to go to school and when she goes homes,I never get tired of her stories of what she did in school and the songs that she learned from their teacher. I wish all pre-school in our country is like that so first time schoolers at an early age will get excited to come to school everyday.

Oh yes, that should be their outlook in school especially for the first timer kids. Being stressed in school for their first experience can demotivate them from going to school and that's not good.

Learning by doing. One of the educational theories tha is applicable for kids.Kids are prone to play.with that lessons can be ejected with it.For example, playing puzzle. They are not only playing but also they are enhancing their imaginative aspects and analysis how to form up the cartoon character on the given puzzle board.Board of Education are trying to encourage pre elem teacher to aplly this kind of theory to students beginning to learn One scientist said that the things done by a child with its own is one of the learnings that will remain in their minds.

Thanks for your response daisy. Puzle is one of education toys that we can use to learning by playing with kids. Actually, there is six aspect for kids growth and achievement standar of kids growth. different standar for different age. so we can arrange how games or activity to stimulate those growth aspec that proper to them.
