About 3 months ago I bought an Asus Laptop that have been very useful to me for the past months in my everyday routine, job, social, and business. It is basically my best buddy, my other half in technology. It is so much of a pain when just one moment it won't boot anymore. I am not a computer savvy and doesn't know about back-ups. I only cared if the computer works or not. I know nothing about computer specs and all. And so it happend, without back up or anything, it just suddenly went out on me. I remember the sales girl says anything goes wrong and I need to reformat, I just have to press F9 button. Who would taught its not gonna be easy just pressing F9? So when you press F9 it will give you a screen the requires more information that you need to feed plus it asks for a disc, which I dont have. After a few attempts of reformatting my laptop which have gotten me in a haywire, I gave up. Brought it to a service center, 16 hours drive from my place. Oh what a pain! not just because I not able to use my laptop for my job and all but it costs me a lot of money for the repair and expenses to get it repaired. The technician from the service center told me it was just easy to fix, that if I had known someone who knows how to reformat, that someone could have done it. Oh well, were here now so I asked him if he can do it with the warranty. The answer that I got was NO, software issues are not covered. I have to pay Php1500 to have it fixed (in a service center- for a 3 month old laptop with 1 year warranty)..how good is that? "Alright, since were here, that's fine, fix it so we can finally get this done and over with!". I was asked to wait or come back at the shop after 4 hours. I can't stay 4 hours in their shop just doing nothing, so I thought I'll just drop by on the way home after 4 hours or so. But just within 2 hours, I got a call from the service center saying I wont be able to get it back today because there was another issue on hardware. As of now, pending. I am waiting for their call, I just hope they get it done asap...I can't wait for anymore week or so...

Hello, You can try this; Fdisk, reformat your laptop hard disk clean and re-install the OS as the last resort. Before going that route try following simple fixes to see if the problem goes away. Remove the battery and charger/ac adapter/power cord from your laptop, press and hold the power button for 20 seconds to discharge any residual current insde he laptop. This clears you RAM and is like a hardware reset. Replace the battery and charger/ac adapter/power cord and turn your laptop on. Boot in "safe mode" . As it starts up press F8, the computer ask you if you would like to start in safe mode . Highlight "safe mode" and press enter. See if your laptop runs normally. If it runs normally, do the following maintenance and tune up, uninstall necessary programs and applications. Scan with a anti virus program Scan with a malware/spyware program DEFRAC C: CHKDSK C: clean up and repair registry problems with registry repair software of your choice. Good Luck!
