I think for some reasons cell phone must be prohibited while driving as it may distract you and cause accident. But if you have an earphone you can use your cell phone only in emergency cases. If you get a call from your work, from hospital, a death of someone etc. What is your opinion on it?

This is such a ridiculous notion. I really cannot believe people think it's acceptable to drive while using a phone. It's one of the most stupid things someone can do. If you are driving, you are in control of a vehicle that used incorrectly is capable of killing people. You should always have both hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road and your mind on what you are doing. Turn your phone off when you get into your car or pull over when the phone rings. If you are in traffic and cannot answer then ignore the call.

Personally, I think people who are driving really should have a blue tooth device for helping answer the phone, and only use their phone even to dial out in case of an emergency. So many times you see people who are driving slower or irradic just because they are on the phone, or texting, and that to me is even worse. I would think more people would think or pull over off to the side, etc. if they really are needing to be on their phone.

As what others think about those new innovation and technologies, I can say It helped a lot, but still people doesn't have any idea that using cellphone while driving causes unnecessary accidents. it's because mainly of distraction over the road.. I am against using cellphone while driving..So please for all those people drive while texting and calling, think of the innocent people who'll be suffering from your doings..

I don't think that there is any way that people should be on their phone while they're driving. It can distract you from the things that you're supposed to be looking at on the roads, and this means that you can be dangerous when you're driving. I lost a friend in a car crash because somebody wasn't taking care on the road, and this is something that they will most likely never be able to get over. It's well worth taking care, because at the end of the day it can be other people's lives that are at risk if you don't choose to do it.

dear I am agaist driving while talking on the phone. It can easily distract you and you can be in a crash. One time i was in a car accident because one lady behind me crashed into me while talking on the phone.Texting while driving is 4 times worse than drunk driving. the only case that i would say yes if the call was from the hospital or an emergency case.

Well i strongly feel that while driving there is absolutely no need of using a cellphone. This could otherwise lead to disastrous accidents. It is advisable not to use the phone except that if it has to be received then car could be halted for a while and then responded.

I am totally against using cell phones while driving. A lot of accidents take place here because of this habit. The police in my city impose fines on those they catch driving while talking on cell phones. The rule is to stop your car at the side of the road and then talk. But yes, as you said, an earphone can be used. Many times someone might be desperate to contact us to give some important piece of information.

I don't think a person should use there cell phone weather they are talking on it or texting on it to people. They can't wait till they get where they are going to call or stop off the side of the road and call people. I never talk and drive let alone text and drive. I have not only myself to worry about but one unborn child and one toddler to think of that could possible be with out a mommy if I don't focus on the road.

Hi velentina, here in the USA it is ok to drive while using a earphone..But I think its not necessarily the holding of the phone as it is the emotion of the phone call..

Having a headset is really a great innovation in making and receiving a call while you are driving or doing something else. But no matter how convenient having a headset is, it should still be minimize while driving in order to lessen the chances of an accident.

everyone can't do 2 or more work at a time properly... but people think they are comfortable with cellphone while drivings... but its not true 83% of accident made due to cellphones... if you want to take emergency call then stop car and talk.. but people still doing mistakes and after accident think what they did... so cellphones must be prohibited while driving...

yes i also agree to dis statement.mobilephones should be strictly prohibitd while driving.it can cause serious injouries,if while talking one loses d cntrl ovr hs/hr vehicle.if its a sad news.dn possibilities fr losing cntrl is sm wt 80% sure.headphns cn b used.bt i wud suggest smtng much smaller dan its size.one can use a bleutooth headset for more convenience.wl smtyms headphones cn olso gt irritated cause dey r wired.bt having a bluetooth headset dsnt mean dat one can make ol kinds of calls while driving.but still it cn B used fr emergency cols only.in d end i wud lyk to convey nd remind odrs dat TALKING THROUGH MOBILEPHONES WHILE DRIVING IS A STRICT VIOLATION OF LAW.
