Time comes by quickly and change happens very fast. Technological advancement has redefined the lives of people as the world is driven by information. Gone are the days where manual work dominates the whole world. Today, machines replace people in performing some repetitive tasks through automation. It can be an advantage since people are free from being occupied so they can have time to think of new ways. It is about innovation and creativity. The same applies to jobs. Today people can work at the comforts of their home wearing pajamas or any comfortable clothes they want. Companies have been using the internet to outsource their works and hire remote staffs. Those employees and contractors do not need to go to office as they can perform their job anywhere they want as long as they have internet and computer access.

Thanks for the welcome mate. You are right about that. Everything has always its good side and bad side. In the case of online media, opportunities are everywhere but scams blend together with legitimate online jobs and opportunities. We must be vigilant enough to choose the legit ones and extinguish the scams. Have a good day!:)

True, these online jobs bring to us so much comfort and benefits than office-based jobs don't. We get to easily manage our time work and family (especially for those mothers). Our values and virtues, i.e. honesty, sincerity, hardwork, etc., also get to be tested through these online jobs because this is when we do not have a boss who always oversees us if we are working or not...

That's right. It is a big challenge for us especially when we don't have any boss that may confront us with our work directly and personally. Despite of this big responsibility, we get to enjoy the comfort that our home may bring to us.

Totally agree. :) It really brings with it lots of advantages not only to online workers but also to companies or business owners, as hiring remote workers enables them to save on overhead expenses. ^_^

Imagine working for a foreign company without actually leaving our home country.:) In addition, online workers may also try to start their own business and follow the same mode of outsourcing. This is a win-win situation. :)

definitely, but both of it; machine-operated or manual works play a vital role in terms of socio or economic aspects. there are things still that needs manual labor like for example, many sculptors still used their hands in making statue or another it still nice to send your warm greetings personally still than sending it virtually. the goodness it offer are being leveled when sending or showing your affection using gadgets but still it is beyond compare when you give your smile personally or holding his hands or tapping his back for assurance. enjoy the new technology but don't forget to look back the nature of your tradition. good morning ;)

I agree with you that manual jobs are still necessary for the existence of our complex system today. Without them, the whole system that people have created for centuries will ultimately collapse. Definitely, manual works exist since there would still be places where people do not have access to machines and technology to assist them with their works. In addition, some people still do not have the economic capacity to purchase or have a direct access to technology which lead them to no other way but to start with manual labor. Looking back also shows a good value that people must not forget since it is a form of respect for the efforts of the past generations. In addition, some solutions may also be acquired from the past if ever some instances that happened already will also occur again. All in all, both the products of human development from past to the present are vital for the balance to exist in this world. Thank you for your nice response. Have a good day! :)

I have always been fascinated by technology. I like the term you use - "redefined the lives of people". Yes, and people should adapt themselves to these technological advancements. Mobile phones and the Internet has shrink our world into a mere village where long before, we send messages by smoke signals, by pigeons, by snail mail, by telegram, by plain old analog telephone system. Not only our professional endeavors have been greatly affected but our personal lives as well. We relate with our love ones, friends and colleagues through these advancements in communication. We used high-tech devices and gadgets to make our work easier to manage. Students learn and teachers deliver through computer-based training programs. Companies manufacture their products using computer-operated machines. We use smart gadgets to manage and enjoy our personal lives.

I would like to commend on your response. Technology is really inevitable. Imagine a life without computers, mobile phones and internet. Everything would be manual, but do not get me wrong. We still awe our forefathers with their knowledge and techniques since our automated systems and present technology come from the knowledge of the previous generations. Also technology allows faster processes and tasks to be accomplished that people enjoy saving time and increasing their overall productivity. While this may seem to be the trend, some places do not have access to technology that they live on snail mail, telegram and even lack of electricity. Perhaps more people must be able to access the products of our knowledge like computers, PDAs, internet and even the more basic one like electricity as all of these gadgets require electricity in order for them to function.

Yes, it allows more opportunities for people to work on their desired fields of endeavor with more flexibility. It allows full-time traditional employees (people who go to office to work) to hold another job without sacrificing their main job. Some may also find it to be an opportunity for a career shift. If ever they find themselves earning the same amount as a conventional full-time job, they may opt to become full-time online workers and do their jobs at the comfort of their homes. Online jobs also address the growing unemployment that the economy has been pushing globally. It serves as a good platform where both job seekers and start-up business people can boost their careers and earnings with equal chances.
