K12 was introduce this school year to incoming freshmen.K to 12 which means from Kindergarten + 6 years primary schooling + 4 years in high school + 2 years senior high The government says that we are the only one in Asia that has a 10 year basic education. When I was young we always hear that Filipinos are among the best in the world. My view is that if it isn't broke why fix it? We already have vocational courses if the student choose that path then go. But forcing them into senior high will be an additional burden for parents like me. Go get great/competent teachers, polish are learning material and give them the necessary budget. i believe that 10 years is enough we just need to help each other.

Hi, we share the same sentiments on this. Although we have to consider its long term benefit to our children, as a mother, we have to carefully assess also our finances. I definitely believe that it is still the character and values of our students that determine their success and not just the length of education that we have to provide for them.

I think K12 will be of big help for the students since they would be trained more and they are not left empty-handed after graduating from high school. They will be trained by TESDA during their last years in high school so they will graduate with technical skills already. They can work with minimal training from their future employers. Based on my experience, the ten years of schooling is a bit fast. It was hard for me to decide on the career that I would like to take in the future. I just want to try out everything and find my interests. Unluckily, my parents were the ones who chose the course for me. I ended up shifting my course after three years of studies.

I think that 12 year schooling system is best, because after 12 year of schooling a student would be able to choose there right way of education on college level..in 10 year schooling students are not mature to make decision for there higher study, and parents impose its on choice on it,this thing is proved harmful for childes studies....
