Finally got the rain we needed.

Pouring rain - The rain we just got, finally.

The rain just stopped, after pouring like crazy for a short time. I had to keep going outside to fix the sun shelter over the truck as it was trying to collapse on the truck. It has cooled down a little bit, I can feel a cooler breeze coming through the windows. I'm glad we finally got it, but I know the bed of my truck is soaked despite what I did to keep it dry.

wow, that is pouring rain...I don't understand the concern about the truck getting wet/soaked...I must be missing some thing..But I am happy your area got the needed rain you were hoping for...and it nice that the weather became a little cooler...I think the fresh smell after the rain is wonderful...

I was missing that part too, bjc, but I think it has to do with the lawn equipment and landscaping stuff that they keep in the truck.

Because the cap is off the truck bed, everything gets wet. If it's not tarped, it gets soaked. And having work stuff in the truck, it needs to stay dry. There's sand and dirt in the truck and tools as well. Once I get the cap back on, I wont have to worry about flooding.

We've had several days of badly needed rain this last week or so. And it tends to come late in the day or over night so it doesn't really interfere with getting stuff done during the day.

I'm happy that it came on my day off. Otherwise we do need it at night so I can work the next day. Otherwise we'd be working in the mud and couldn't get much done. Can't cut grass when it's wet either because the mowers would clog up.

I know wet grass clogs up mowers, not that we have much grass in my yard, last summer killed everything but the most hardy weeds

I love a nice long soothing rain shower! Yeah I'd say the back of the truck got a bit soaked regardless, and hoping the lawn mower in the back is fine. I don't know much about lawn mowers to know how tolerant they are of rain lol. What I love is when it's raining and thundering and the whole house is quiet. That is like, uhm.. NEVER but I love it when I can find a nice quiet place to be.

I have the lawnmower tarped the best I could do it, but I really need to get the cap back on the truck. The original seal was damaged, so I had to take the cap off as the bed was flooding anyways.

Wow,the rain seems like raining cats and dogs.Well,i do not like the weather to be dry that's because sometimes it may affect the crops. For me,to have rain and make me have time to think about myself and even think nothing in my mind for free.I like rainy days.

It was nice. But some areas of the city flooded. It has cooled down and that's great since it's been so hot here lately.

Well, good for you as you are awaiting for the rain to fall. I am having the exact opposite feeling these days. Since last week there has been raining especially during the time my working hour ends. Causing me to be totally soaked in rain for four days consecutively which almost cause me catching a cold.

You end up taking the bad with the good from time to time. I know we need rain a lot, and I would take it, even though my roof leaks like crazy. We need the rain that much.

It was on and off raining here as well, but not downpouring. Its cooled down, but not enough to be honest. Its still sticky and humid, supposeable its suppose to be scortching up to 45C this week.
