So tell my why a highway patrol man has the right to jus go thru at 50mph work zone during 5pm traffic going 90mph+ and he doesnt have his lights on? Now Im not the smartest person in the world but I thought the fine for that doubled? And I know it was 90+ cuz i was behind him and I looked and was doing 70! I didnt think i was going that fast but i could never catch up with him! So how does that work?

It's possible that he was told to go to a scene without lights and sirens. It is known to happen. This way a criminal doesn't know that he's coming. It is possible.

yeah..but unless he got a call i dont know..because i slowed down when i saw him come off the exit, but he didnt look like he was in a hurry..but he started pulling away. so i cant say for sure..so i guess we will stick with the emergency.

maybe he forgot to put the siren on.sometimes it happens that in rush we forget things. Once or twice we can excuse them. Or otherwise it can also be as our fellow mylotter said above that may be he was told to put off the siren and do his job for that moment. happy mylotting

Was there any roadwork being done? I've got to think it's an emergency. If you know me, I'll give the benefit of the doubt to most people in law enforcement because my uncle was killed in the line of duty as a police officer in California. So while I would give him the benefit of the doubt that there is a good reason, I'd say he sounds like a rookie who needs some more lessons.

I believe that's because he has to cover many areas. If he goes slow he will never be able to see everything. Highway is such a vast street to be guarded, anyway.
...or many of them lose girlfriend and want to kill themselves. ^^
