Debate with Annabelle Rama or Sen. Miriam Santiago?

I was answering this certain discussion about being stranded in an island and keeping your sanity with some trainwreck celebrities (http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2679032.aspx). I chose Baron since I can't handle naggy people and Princess Revilla scares me out of my wits. Anyway, I suddenly came up with this thought: If you are given a chance (or punishment. Lolz!) to have a debate with Annabelle Rama of Sen. Miriam Santiago, who will you have a debate with? Lolz! Personally, I think I'd rather have one with Sen. Mirian since I BELIEVE I can learn something from her :P

I'll choose Sen. Miriam lol! At least I will learn a lot from her. With Annabelle, I'm sure my brain will turn to mush, but for an entirely different reason haha! I'm also not good with handling cuss words directed at me; I'll probably run home crying to mommy boohoo! Plus, I don't think I will mind losing a debate against someone like Sen. Miriam.

Showbiz can make do the most ridiculous things and that is just for publicity. Sometimes, the dignity, morality and all things that is good about entertainment is striped way jut to be noticed. I agree with your thought – I do not think any sane woman would be to use her family just to noticed. Gossip is vicious enough in Philippine society. But I don’t know Annabelle personally so I really don’t know how her mind works. I dunno about Annabelle’s demeanor when around Miriam. I think she knows that Miriam also do not back down without a fight (and if she knows she’s right). I think even Annabelle’s lawyer can be reduced to tears. The senator can be a one-woman army if she puts her mind to it.

True, true. Unless you really want to take out your frustrations with a shameless, useless, "don't-think-too-much" bickering, then I'd choose Annabelle. Lolz! But really now, I'm getting too bored with "Annabelle" related issues. Whenever I hear that someone filed a case against her and vice versa, all I can say is "What's new?"

Well, you know in showbiz: no publicity is bad publicity. Or something to that effect haha! I think sometimes she really do this deliberately just to get everyone talking about her once more. I mean, no sane family woman will always want to continuously offending people left and right; what kind of a mother would you be if it's just all about you? But then I heard she's doing this because one reporter slandered her kid or something. Soon this whole circus will be old news. Until the next victim haha. Which makes me wonder, if its Sen. Miriam, will Annabelle be as fierce? Now that's something to look forward to :)

With Anabelle I could only learn how to trash talk... I'd rather have a debate with the Senate's Girl Pick-up... That would be fun! Hats off to Senator Miriam.

I do get what you mean. I can imagine myself trying to persuade her give into my points and ideas. Well, it's a battle lost for me but I'm sure I'll learn quite a lot of law-related topics and of course, vast vocabularies :p Thanks for the response!

I chose Miriam Santiago for a debate, absolutely because I can learn something from her rather than Annabelle Rama to which all she knows are topics that are below the belts and is ready to spank you whenever she got a chance.

I also chose Miriam since I believe I'll learn something from her. Law, politics and vocabulary! Lolz! As for Annabelle... I really don't know... Maybe I'll learn how to speak in Bisaya? No offense meant to fellow myLotters who are in the Visayan region or knows how to talk in Bisaya :)

You have a point! Lolz! If I ever have to debate with Annabelle Rama, I should put my running shoes on and prepare to run when the debate heats up. I value my life! Lolz!

I will go with Anabel Raa because I think I am smarter than her and I can win a debate against her, but I have to careful though, because I might get a bullet or knife right through my sternum if I pissed her off too much. her lack of class and breeding though seemed to make her easier to beat than Miriam. If I debated againts Miriam she will swallow me alive. -

Mirian Santiago will win hands down. The thing is how long will it take for Rama to throw the first punch ( literally ) 3 secs or 5 secs?

I have been debating with the policemen since Friday and my head really aching until now. Well, if be given a chance to have a debate with Mrs. Rama and Sen. Santiago, I would rather choose the latter because she sometimes makes me laugh with her humors. And yes, all of you are right that she has the knowledge and we always learn something from her.

Hands down with the senator. My brain might get some sort of brain mush and my nose might start bleeding with the technicalities and such but I’m sure there will be something substantial in there and along the technical and legal lines. Besides, it will be debating something of important issue like the law, the government policies, RH bill and so many important issues that covers our society. With Annabelle Rama, the only think we could talk about (debate is slightly a word that I cannot associated with showbiz) will revolved on two things – her family (which I really do not care about) and her legal battles (which also does not interest me. Besides, I might get some good punch lines and quotes from the senator. I might even need to bring a dictionary of legalese. At need of the day, the debate with the Senator will definitely be something to remember in fondness, not in something you want to be erased and pretend ever happened.

I would choose Sen Santiago. She is my idol and I don't having a debate with her is such a good and a-dream-true thing. At the same time, I can learn a lot from her. Of course, she shouts and delivers her points with emotions but I think that's what makes her what she is right now. And the most important thing there is that she has brilliant ideas to share.
