What to do about the gun violence in this city.

Shooting deaths have gone up 44% or something like that since last year, but our police chief states that our city is still safe. He says that after there where 2 shootings in public in 2 months, with 2 people dying at both shootings. So now they want to hold a community meeting to figure out what to do about this gun violence. Many people say that there's nothing that can be done about it, that it's only going to get worse. I had a thought, haven't heard from anyone about it, so I'm going to air it here and get opinions from others. My thought was to ship the gang members who are the root of this violence to another country, possibly somewhere that they get themselves shot up or something like that. I feel that this has to end and shipping the offenders out would greatly solve our violence problems. 2005 was called the summer of the gun, and this summer has been called summer of the gun part 2. Makes you wonder what's going on and why this city is getting worse and worse. There was a shooting yesterday, a mere block away from where I used to live, an area prone to gang violence and I'm glad we got out of there when we did. I never felt safe around there, it was a dangerous area. If we ship all the gang members out of this country, wouldn't that solve a lot of problems?

It is just terrible everywhere, there is violence everywhere. I doubt very much if we as a society will ever be able to get a handle over it.

If it gets worse here, then there will be no one left to clean it up. I don't go places now except for work and hope that I survive to see another day. One area notorious for trouble is the downtown core where I'm supposed to be working tomorrow night. I'm worried about that. I think I will sit in the truck with the windows shut and the doors locked.
