Ramadhan is the month for Muslims to fast for 30 days. They only eat during the night. Actually the fasting month is to train the Muslims to feel how what the poor people feel when they have nothing to eat or drink. However in reality most Muslims spend more money before, and during the Ramadhan. The do the big shopping--foods, clothes, etc. The last 10 days of the month is the most important part of the fasting. Some Muslims stay the whole days in the mosque to recite Qur'an and perform more prayers. Those are the real Muslims who know what they are supposed to do as Muslims. The majority of the Muslims (they claim to be Muslims as according to their ID cards, they are registered as Muslims) spend the last 10 days shopping and preparing fooods and drinks for the big day called "Iedul Fitri", in which all Muslims begin eating and drinking again like in the normal days. What's your take on this my friends?

Yes, we often to see that shopping before Ramadhan month like one of routinity before Ramadhan. But I think, it is reasonable because beside it show that they welcome by happiness, they have to prepare well for eating before shubuh (we call sahur). moreover for first day fasting. We know, as the first day fasting, many market will closed for while. So, it is ok as long as they did not over, we know God did not like it. Wish God will receive all worship during Ramadhan. Amin.

Fasting month is the highly expected month for all Muslims as all sins shall be forgiven.

My husband works for some people who celebrate that. I'm not sure what they do to get prepared though.
