i am planning to learn how to make my own ice cream

as i have seen a delicious home made ice cream online, i feel like making my own ice cream. i would love to have mint flavor. because i like the cool feeling of mint flavor. but i don't know if do need to buy a special home ice cream maker or machine or is the blender enough.
but i am not sure if i can learn it though. it seems it is not something we can do easily at home. even with tutorials.

The only home made ice cream that I have tried was an experiment in my science class when I was in elementary. We placed ice and salt in a big bag and the ice cream mixture (cream, milk, sugar and flavoring) in a smaller bag. Put the smaller bag inside the big bag and shook it until it firmed up. It was good. :)

me, i want also to learn how to make a home made ice cream and that's the thing that i don't know how, yah i can search in the web but i don't think so that I've search in the web that mint flavor. does it taste good? i don't think so.. but i'm willing to try somethings new.
