What are the obstacles in a speedy and fast prosperity and development of India? I think the major two such obstacles are corruption and population explosion. But I firmly believe that both of these are in the hands of Indians to cope with. Don’t you also believe so, be you an Indian or a non-Indian? If India can solve these two major problems, the other problems would automatically be vanished sooner or later. Do you agree with me?

I had observed many parallels between India and the Philippines, yes we both have over population and corrupt government problems. Both our countries also have vast natural resources, even the value of the Indian rupee is similar to the Philippine peso so it got me thinking, could it be that our people are somewhat not united? or could it be that somehow we still cannot get rid of our colonial past? Both our countries have great potential but we never seem to be able to take off

Hello, in opinion only corruption is major obstacles for slow development of India. here every political party is busy in recovering cost of support to other parties. The latest example is U.P government. Indian population is also a minor problem. Indeed it is power of India. We have maximum numbers of young population in world. It is better if our government tried to increase quality of population.

In fact there are many many problems have accumulated because of the lethargy shown by our leaders who now just do not seem to have any responsibility towards the nation except fighting with each other and doing politics and this raised the problems to be like mountain peaks and now it will really be hard to resolve the problems.corruption, unemployment, poverty, problems related to agriculture, religious problems, criminalization of politics, terrorism, and neglect of natural resources, environment, safe disposal of mechanical and electrical waste, human waste, animal waste so its a big list...and the way it is going I do not think it is going to be done in next 50 or 100 years of time.May be sounding pessimistic but it is the truth.

I feel it is not corruption or population explosion, but the spineless majority of this holy land. 120 crore people, vast landscape, we have all the metals and minerals with man power. Yet we allow the rulers to exploit us.
