I am a huge mac & cheese lover, and am always looking at new recipes for it, because I love to experiment. Does anyone know any yummy and interesting ways to make mac and cheese, or some cool ingredients to put in? Thanks! :)

The way I make them is always frying the macaroni before I put the water to boil them. I fry them with little sunflower oil, while rolling them in the pot all of the time, because they may burn on stronger hot plate. Then when I have them little brown, I put water. At the end cheese, but everyone puts it on his own plate, because my boyfriend eats them with milk and sugar.

I just the walmart brand of mac and cheese when I get it. I've made my own mac n chs before but didnt' like it. One time I put rotel in my mac n cheese. I like thick and creamy mac and cheese, especially the creampy part so more butter or milk would be best for me.

Hi StainedGlassRoses, I love Macaroni too check this one out and try if you love it. Macaroni and Cheese for Two There's nothing ground-breaking here, just a simple way to get to two substantial (but not insane) portions of macaroni and cheese for two. It was excellent and looked fantastic. Mac 'n' Cheese for Two Canice 9/28/12 4 oz. cavatappi 1 oz. butter 1 oz. flour 1 cup milk, warmed 2 oz. Gruyère cheese, grated 3 oz. Colby cheese, grated Small pinch cayenne pepper (optional) Salt and pepper, to taste 1/4 cup panko bread crumbs, tossed with a knob of melted butter Cook pasta for minimum time stated in package directions. Drain and toss with a drizzle of vegetable oil to prevent sticking. Using the same pot, melt the butter over low heat. Once it has foamed, add flour and stir with a flat whisk until the flour has just changed color (about two minutes). Slowly add the warmed milk, and whisk constantly until milk has thickened, about three minutes. Remove from heat and stir in cheese to melt thoroughly. Season to taste and stir in cooked cavatappi. Turn out into two single-serving baking dishes and distribute buttered panko over both. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Serves two.
