Have you ever visited an orphanage?

hey guys!
I have never visited an orphanage but i have always wished that i could help the orphanages in one way or the other. I seen some documentaries about the orphanages and i literally got tears into my eyes as these children have no one in this world. They are so much innocent and yet they have to spend their lives without the love and affection of their parents.
What are your thoughts about this? Please do share!

Yes i have and that was around more than 6 years ago. I was a musical director then and we assigned this orphanage as the beneficiary of our first major concert. I couldnt say that it was really an orphanage though. What the NGO did was that they housed the kids of the bystanders and homeless so that the kids would be away from the negative environment. While doing that, they trained the parents to do some basket weaving, dress making and other stuff so that they could earn decent salaries later on giving a decent future for their kids. I commend that idea because you are teaching people how to fish and not just beg.

First of all, hats off to you for your kind act. The kids in the orphanage should be engaged in one or the other activities such that their mind can be diverted for this pervert world. They can at least smile and play happily for a while and they deserve it. What say?
