English is now that easy though. English vocabulary is the biggest among all the other major language. I think thats the reason why english language is used the most, as you can have a word to describe everything.

Hello, well it's really amazing how the English language managed to penetrate the cultures of various nations. However, I don't think that it will become a universal language but rather just one of the most used secondary language. Many people and countries will still treasure their national language.

Cool, it's really nice of your country to promote their own national language. In the end of the day, we should always treasure our national language.

Yes, Chiyosan, English has long been used internationally specially by people of various nationalities, doing trade or business. It's really a good thing that English is the second language here in the Philippines. At least, most of the Filipinos knows how to speak it.

As someone who is from an English-speaking country, I have to say it does seem that English is spoken throughout the world--in every country we have visited, most people speak at least a little English. Having said that, I think it is important for English-speakers to learn another language as well, and not solely rely on English. People who are bilingual have advantages too--it helps with grammar, sentence structure, and word comprehension, but also it enriches your mind and increases your appreciation of other cultures as well. So while I think it is helpful for people to speak English to succeed in business, commerce, transportation, etc., I strongly believe that English-speakers should learn at least the basics of a second language.

No, English would never take over all of the national language of the world. It may widely used as international language, but all of other language will always be there, unless if there's a huge war that demolish most of human races.. We live in the world with differences and diversity. It's impossible to force everyone to use/have the same thing..

I believe yes. English has become the basic thing to survive in this world, atleast for those who have to and need to interact with others if not all. It is making us to communicate with quite ease with people of other nation. It may not be the mother tongue for most of us, but it is now equally important to be good in English as you are in your mother tongue. And with increasing globalization it is becoming very vital for all of us to learn this language and in a respectable way too.
