Hello fellows, Most of the places where we sit to eat, they offer the salads with sauce or also called topic. I love eating salads, doesn't matter what is included inside, but most of all I like when they put only vegetables with oil inside and nothing else. At some places the sauces has so strong taste that I don't feel the taste of the ingredients. That's what I hate the most and I always order salads without sauce. The white one usually has a taste of yogurt or garlic, the red one has a taste of ketchup. I love garlic, also yogurt, but ketchup is not one of my favorite tastes. So I prefer the salads clean of non salad tastes. What about you?

I know what you mean, it's better with a little oil and a few drops of vinegar.

Exactly. Thank God someone knows what I mean. My boyfriend put ketchup on a salad made of tomatoes and cucumbers, onion, cheese. Can you believe? Ketchup and tomatoes mixed in one single thing. And whenever he order salad of vegetables somewhere he also wants it with sauce. I accept salads made of boiled potatoes to has their own white sauce. It's all cool. We also make a salad here called russian salad and the traditional recipe is with sauce, just there is no other way to be eaten, but I don't really know how this tradition came here - all salads to has topic.

Ketchup, cheese :/ seriously ? I can die from that. Agree potatoes deserve a sauce, but not tomatoes. I just remembered I forgot to mention above that spirit vinegar is better, just a few drops. Some grinded pepper, few drops of vinegar and oil works very well on lettuce.

I love roasted peppers, if that's what "grinded pepper" means. I also very often fry already roasted peppers, put vinegar and garlic, salt - the result is delicious.

Hi suggar.. I do prefer salad but surely plain one. Like cucumber, carrot and tomato with onion and few drops of oil and a little salt. It is my favorite one and no sauce at all. Have a nice time.

The most popular salad here is the one you said. I love it. You may put inside little bit roasted pepper, or fresh green pepper, olives or whatever you want. It's delicious.

oh I'm a little different friend, I love any kind of salad, sauce and any kind of vegetable, from plain vinegar to virgin olive oil, to mayo and ketchup, thousand island dressing, french mustard, all kinds of cheeses and spices, chopped hard boiled eggs, potatoes..etc..from the simplest to the most sophisticated,I will finish it all what i got in my plate. I even eat a Filipino dish that is simple sweet potato tops (young leaves), dropped in boiling water for a few seconds, drained and eaten with only plain rock salt.

Oh, I love mustard too, so so so much. Cheese is also one of my favorite things in life, not only compared with the meals, just when I eat it ... mmm ...

We all have an inquired taste to be honest. I find the sauce packages are usually too big, so I can get two salad uses out of them. I normally put either ceasar dressing or lemon poppy seed on mine.
