I left my boyfriend of 16years last Nov. in 2011 right before thanksgiving. I was fed up with the life style he was leading. When I told him that I was moving out of that trailer it was nothing but a death trap for me. He didn't care. My doctor's told my to get away from him before he killed me. Because of him I have to sleep with a CPAP now.All I know is I'm in a better place now. And maybe my stress will clam down. Since I know now I don't have worry about someone putting a pillow over head when I fall to sleep at night. I feel a little safer everyday. And knowing that my life and I can take control of and no one telling me what. And it feels good to live in a place that know judges you.

it is good to know that youre safe now, i hope you can get your stress down after this it must be a very scary thing. i dont know what a CPAP is, is this something you need because of the trailer or because of him? you dont have to tell me if you dont want to. just know i am sending you my thoughts and prayers to be happy soon. :)

A CPAP is something a oxgen michine. It helps me sleep at night so I don't stop breatheing. When it senses that my breatheing has slowed down to all most stop. It forces air into my lungs so my breatheing dosen't stop. Yes it was hard, but I knew I had to do it. I'm staying at friends for now. I'm thinking about moving to another state. To be with my mom.

Wow, how were you able to stay with him, despite everything, for 16 years? Its both crazy and admirable. But its so brave of you to finally step out and start anew. I know a lot of women who wouldn't even think of leaving because they always say that they've been together for so long they don't to "waste" those years. Good luck on your new life. You deserve a peaceful sleep right in your own home:)
