I will admit I have been hooked on Facebook for a while. I never understood twitter. Just about every day it seems a new site starts. Can someone please recommend another site? I am starting to get very board with Facebook.

Depends on what kind of site you're looking for. If you meant social sites like FB and Twitter, I have none to recommend to you. But Twitter isn't that bad after all, and it's very different than FB. I have so much sources of information on Twitter. FB is too mainstream. FB is great for keeping in touch with your old friends, but not the one that won't make you bored if you overuse them.

I used to not care about Twitter and found it confusing at first. I created an account and left it inactive for some time. I got active again this May because I realized that I can follow news like CNN or local news like Manila Bulletin or Philippine Star accounts. I also found that there are sources of good quotable quotes in there as well as amazing trivia and facts about almost anything.

We had the same case jolie. My main reason for opening a Twitter account was to promote my articles. The veteran writers recommend it as a good media to promote articles. It was very confusing for me at first. And there are tweets that if you follow this person, you will gain so many followers. So, I thought, why not? If that action will pave the way for more readers for my articles. So, I had my little experiment. But found out that it was not the case. I did follow that person to see if I'm going to gain 100+ followers, which didn't happen. But then, on the other side, I like following certain people because of their meaningful life and funny quotes.

Hi Finding something like FB is difficult. I think twitter is simple, it consists of mainly three components - twitting, following and being followed. 1st two falls within your ambit. Like FB, in twitter you can post comments and find friends called 'following'. Of late, i'm trying with Reddit though I'm yet to understand how Reddit works. You may also give Reddit a try. It seems to me different.

ladyhill, i will suggest you twitter if you are got bore with facebook. Twitter if also a social site like facebook but the difference is that facebook contains lots of apps and lots of materials and the celebrities, famous personalities you add in facebook, you do not know whether they are the orignal ones or someone else has created their page or account. The good thing about twitter is that they provide you authentication that the account of some personality that you are following is original and they mark blue tick with it like bill gates and most of the accounts on twitter are original of what they says. And a=in twitter you write tweets not long messages and it is simple and easy to use.
